I'm trying to simplify my computer wiring situation, and could use some strategic advice.
I have a bunch of devices, and 3 machines. How can 2 (or preferably all 3) machines share all the peripherals? My little KVM doesn't quite cut it. [more inside]

I have a handful of USB devices that I'd like to share between the 2-4 workstations/laptops at my desk. I don't need simultaneous access to a given device from multiple PC's, just the ability to switch which PC each device is assigned to. Here's the catch, though: I want to do the switching on a per-device basis, so standard USB switchboxes (that switch all USB devices at once) won't do the trick. Does such a device exist? I need a solid, 8-port USB rackmount KVM. I do not need PS/2 support, nor a KVM that cheats by converting PS/2 to USB, which does not work with Sun or Apple servers. I can do a Google search, but does anyone have recommendations? I'm on a budget and can spend about $500 or so.
