I just went to a screening of The Five Venoms at my art museum's in house movie theatre, and the lady that runs the place said in a sort of an off hand way (in the middle of a reminiscence about the old days when they had first started showing kung fu films as part of their schedule) something along the lines of 'of course now with the satellite TV and DVDs not nearly so many people are interested in these pictures'. That sounded strange to me, because would have assumed that those two factors would have increased interest in that kind of movie. What is the origin of the phrase "patience, grasshopper"? I'd never heard it said before, and in the last few months it's popping up around me like kudzu. Often said in a fake "kung fu movie" accent.

Google is not helping (I only get pages where people use the phrase, including a site about learning Icelandic and another about how to have multiple orgasms), and I couldn't find anything in the AskMe or MeFi archives either.

Hi, I can't seem to find information on a kung fu movie. There is some type of training scene, with a hollow man shaped device with roller tracks and bearings that run inside. A fighter keeps doing kung fu on this, while the ball bearings move along the tracks inside. Would anyone know the name of this movie?
