I have a Kobo Glo, and an account at kobo.com. I'd like to set up a new Kobo account via Indiebound so that I'm supporting an independent bookstore. It looks like you can only have one account tied to a device, so if I set up my new account on the Kobo, I won't be able to read books I bought in the old account (unless I completely re-set-up the device each time I want to switch). Is there a work-around for this using Adobe Digital Editions, Calibre, or some other software?
Hi All, I'm hoping for some advice hopefully from someone with some hands on experience with the current Kobo offerings. I'm looking to update my trusty old Sony T1 ereader, it's still working great but a few scratches on the face and the lack of a light lead me to upgrade. [more inside]
After spending a while researching Kindle vs. Kobo, I bought a Kindle Paperwhite. I've only had it for half a day and I'm starting to think I made the wrong choice. Help me figure out whether I should return the Paperwhite, whether I should buy the Kobo Glo, or whether I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely. [more inside]
I've broken my second e-ink reader in as many years, by cracking the screen. Both breaks have the same basic cause: I forgot it was there and leaned on it. The second time was just for a second and not with that much weight, but it still cracked. And, of course, that means it is completely gone. Both readers were a full-size Kobo Touch. Are these readers more prone to crack than other e-ink devices? [more inside]
I have a kindle and a kobo. I am trying to switch permanently from my kindle to my kobo which I will make my new ereader because it has many other options as well ( the tablet offerings). I have downloaded the epub mobi,az, etc. converter and epub master. I need to remove the kindle DRM to be able to move the kindle books to the kobo. Everything I read makes it seem so straightforward yet, there must be one thing I am missing. I have searched mefi for answers but am not finding anything that helps. Within my reading, it appears that using those programs you add the file and it converts it, super easy. Mine are not converting. [more inside]

I just got a new Kobo Aura e-reader for a trip I'm about to take. Ordinarily, I'd check out Etsy for a creative case, but this is new offering from Kobo, so it's a different size than the previous Kobo Aura HD. Anyone know of good options? I'm open to a standard protective case, or more interesting and unique models.
Time for a new e-reader, and of course nothing will give me everything I want, but maybe ebook-loving Mefites can help me choose. I'm currently looking at the Kindle Paperwhite, the Kobo Glo, and the Kobo Aura HD. Because I'm reading for work online all day (on my laptop), my #1 priority is ease on the eyes when reading for pleasure on an e-reader. I have a first gen Kindle, but I'm currently reading on iPad with retina display, which doesn't seem to strain my eyes, but battery issues and weight are a problem. All other details after the jump... [more inside]
