Where can I buy cheap kiwi brand knives in Calgary? Back in Montreal's chinatown they sell these really cheap knives called kiwi brand. For less than 5$ you can buy these type of knives. they are sharp and cheap.

Need Some Kiwi Love

My females are lonely. Help me find a male kiwi plant. I have two established female kiwis in my backyard that have been there since before we bought the house four years ago. Females need a male to pollinate them, but I can't find any plants for sale locally (Sacramento, Ca area). My local nurseries do not have any and I have been told by one that they can't get any this year for some reason. I found a few online, but what I need to know is will any variety pollinate my unknown variety? After looking online I see there are quite a few varieties out there. Does the male or the female describe the fruit characteristics?

What is it in these foods that I'm allergic to?

What am I allergic to? I have reactions from the following: bean sprouts, kiwi, bananas, pecans, and lots and lots of raw vegetables such as carrots and raw snap pea pods, though I can eat them cooked with no problem. Bananas are by far the worst of anything I've encountered. They make my face swell in addition to the usual reaction I get from certain foods - itchy mouth, throat, and stomach. Yes, stomach. The inside of my stomach will feel itchy as all hell. Very unpleasant. All of the reactions (save for bananas) are on the mild side but really irritating and uncomfortable. I can usually tell within a few bites of something if I can't eat it.

I'm not allergic to all nuts - just pecans and walnuts as far as I can tell, and I seem to be able to eat those cooked.

As mentioned, I can eat carrots, peas, and various other foods cooked but get a reaction when eaten raw. For a long time I thought it was a type of potassium that did it, as banannas and kiwis disagree with me. I can, however, drink juice fortified with potassium, so I don't know that this is the case.

Any ideas as to what it is in these foods that bothers me?

I'm looking for blue shoe polish. Kiwi apparently makes it, but after checking local shoe stores, discount department stores, and drug stores, I can't find it. Any suggestions for where else I can look (either general store genres or specific places if you're familiar with the Detroit area), or, if that fails, a place to find it online without exorbitant shipping costs?
