I run Kindle app on four devices, using one Amazon account. When I read articles on the web, I usually save interesting PDFs to Kindle. I would like to see all ebooks AND the pdfs in one place. [more inside]
Can anyone help me convert a Kindle book to a PDF? [more inside]
I have a lot of books and articles in pdf form and I would like to read them on an eye-comforting and portable e-ink type device thing. What should I get? Ages ago I was recommended a nook, but I don't know if that's still a good choice or if I should just yield to kindle dominance. Annotation support would be nice I suppose but I'm find with just carrying a notebook and pen as well.

Kindle questions: 1) I want a device that I can read (mostly) 8.5" x 11" PDFs on without much scrolling (as opposed to page turning) and 2) use to look up prices of things (not just books) on Amazon and other sites. The iPad is great for these except it's too heavy to lug around and a bit too bright to read for hours and I'd prefer no monthly bill for price checking. I'm in Canada if that makes a difference. Is the Kindle appropriate and if so, which one? Also, is it easy to transfer my PDFs too? Can I access Dropbox, for instance? Thanks.

In January, I'm leaving the US for Europe, where I'll be for the next six months, if not more. I want to buy an E-reader, so I can continue to read books in English, and also to save myself from lugging books back and forth. Given the circumstances, seems to me the best choice is to buy a Kindle 2 right now. Am I right? [more inside]
I live in Romania and I'm considering a Kindle DX. (Sony Reader is a crappy competitor and the iRex products are expensive). What features will I miss if I bring the Kindle to Romania? Does it still worth it? [more inside]
