iso: specific yoga for kids book

Looking for a very specific book of yoga positions for children - it was simply written and the illustrations were black ink line drawings on white paper, usually of young people and adults doing introductory yoga positions. My mother used the book with my brother and myself regularly in the 1970s, but looking through the various kids' yoga books on Amazon now I'm not finding it. Anyone who grew up in the same era, or who raised kids in the same era, find this familiar?

Itzamna said I didn't have to do my homework

A colleague's girlfriend, who teaches in an 11-18 school, recently had one of her pupils stop doing work because of an (apparently) strongly-held belief that the world is coming to an end in 2012 with the finish of the Mayan calendar. I've seen a couple of anecdotal tweets about this occurring elsewhere too. I guess Rapture fever might be a more common occurrence in parts of the US, but this was in leafy west London. So, teachers of the green, is this a Thing?

Will Silly Archaic Art Form Turn Beloved Daughter into Quasiomodo?

My 4-year-old daughter is getting really into ballet. I've observed her standing in fifth position at home, on the train, etc. Is this going to screw up her musculoskeletal structure at some point? Now for something completely different, a Christmas gift question!

Two gift questions: 1. What is a good gift, ~$30, for a 9-year-old boy who loves anything to do with construction and is forever building things out of scrap wood? (It's for this kid, who, two years later, is growing up to be completely awesome and a joy to have around.) 2. A while back someone asked a fashion question and one of the answers had a link to a store that I can't find now. It seemed to be a British store that had come to the US because it kept referring to their various lines as "our [blah blah] range." It had women's and kids' clothes, I think men's, too, and the kids' clothes were colorful and whimsical and somewhat modern looking. It's the kids' clothes I'm after, so if you have other suggestions for clothes like that, that'd be great, too. Thanks!

German Hair Work

What is this German hairstyle? As seen recently in Berlin on a hip young man and not-hip young child, it seemed shorter on the top than on the sides but not a mullet (my memory is a little hazy), like it must have been a traditional quick n' easy home haircut possibly done with clippers but not something I've ever seen in the states. Bonus: how do you achieve this hairstyle?
