I'm drawing a line down the middle of the bed...

How can I keep my SO from kicking me in his sleep? My SO is 6'4" and I'm a much smaller 5'5". Periodically when he turns over in his sleep he'll hit me with his knee or elbow. He of course feels terrible about it and wants to do anything he can to try to stop. We have a queen sized bed and getting a larger bed is not an option. Honestly I'm not sure that would solve the problem anyway, as normally we have enough room as long as he's staying on his side.

what is the correct term for musician jump kick

What should I call it when a band is finishing a song and the guitarist hits the last chord while jumping in the air and jack knifing his/her legs back?
I guess it's a way of putting an exclamation mark on the song, and, I suppose, to make sure that the other members of the band know that the song is ending here and not going around again. Should I just call it a "jump kick" or is there some preferred term among musicians. Any other insights into this practice are welcome, since I'm not a musician. This is for a documentary.

wow! wolfman has nads!

What does it feel like to get kicked in the balls? I'm sure most men have tried to explain this to a female before. But I've never found any words that come close to describing the unique and ENGULFING pain that happens when you're kicked in the googles.

What is a comparable feeling? How do we LET THEM KNOW that sometimes even a GRAZE can be painful? How can one describe that nauseating, throbbing, wave that goes all the up your spine and then back down to your sack again, over and over? For me, words fail.

Let's see if we can make this more challenging

What's the point of this move when the success rate of penalty kicks is already quite high? I saw this while waiting for food at a takeout place, but I don't understand soccer very well. Could someone please explain to me what he was trying to do (was a fake?), why it didn't work, and why the player from the opposing team starts berating him? To a soccer novice, it seems like the odds are with the kicker in this situation even without attempting something like this.

Great, natural sounding drums from software/tracking: how?

I want a fake drummer who doesn't sound fake, on the cheap. Drum samples and software ideas: help me out! I want good, exciting, natural-sounding drum tracks on (some of) my recordings.

I have a one-man kitchen table recording studio. 1BR apartment in a complex. Buying drums and learning to play them is not a practical solution.

I have used some drum machines, hardware and software, but nothing fancy. I've used the drum machine in Reason to reasonable effect for synth drums, but for blues/rock/acoustic tracks, the drums sound weak and mechanical.

So what are my options for faking a real drummer on the cheap? I've heard of BDF (from prior AskMes), but that's a few hundred clams. Any alternatives?

Can you kick your own butt?

Can you kick your own butt? Tonight in pilates class, we were doing this exercise where you lay flat on your stomach with your arms at your side, and you kick at the knee back toward your butt. Even though the teacher said not to, I was looking around at the other students (all women), and noticed while I could actually connect my foot to my butt, no one else came close. Am I a freak of nature? How many other people (women and men) can kick their own butt?
