The keychain shown in this ebay listing
has a loop of cord, fixed in place to the steel semi-circle. The "trolley" part of the keychain slides freely up and down the cord, which passes through two separate holes in either end of the flat trolley piece. Is there any practical use for this, or is it just for fun? [more inside]

Does anyone make a pocket sized or keychain sized continuity tester? I'm often up on a ladder holding what looks like a perfectly good lamp or fuse in my hand and it would be nice to just pull a simple circuit tester off my belt or keychain instead of running to the next room to get it. The usual suspects, thinkgeek et all, have proved less than useful. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Up to now, I have used Apple's Keychain program to manage my passwords. I recently got an iPad, and now I have lots of login passwords that I don't have memorized and can't access from my iPad browser. So, I'm looking for a password management setup that will do the following things (or as many as possible): [more inside]

Can you help me find a small, square format digital display that can play video or animated gifs?
I found a bunch of digital photo keyframes that would be perfect but they don't seem to display animated gifs or videos. Any ideas? [more inside]

My girlfriend keeps losing her wallet & keys (separately). I want to buy her a biker's wallet & have her clip it to her purse & get one of those springy cord tie keychains.
What are some high design/fashionable versions of these, preferably with a big honking chain attached, but rather a nice, modern, sleek cable.
(PS - tip for NYers - use your digital camera to take a photo of the cabbie's license every time you get into a cab - it'll expedite the process of finding your stuff. Just call 311 & they'll connect you to the TLC.)

I typically use Safari, and have my preferences set to store all of my passwords and user names in my Keychain.app. However when it starts acting up and giving me the spinning beach ball, I use Camino (v. 1.0.3.) When I try to log in to a website, it asks me for my user name and password - do I really have to fill in ALL those passwords and user names all over again? In other words, is there any way I can get Camino to access the passwords I saved using Safari? [more inside]

I'm off back to the parents in a couple of days time for Christmas and will invariably need to tune up their Windows PC. My USB key-chain currently contains Firefox, Thunderbird, AdAware, Spybot S&D and ZoneAlarm updates as well as service packs and virus definition updates. What else should I include?

I recently got a new Sony Vaio. Its great, except I didn't realize it didn't come with a floppy disk drive. So, what I'm looking for to replace it is a small USB drive (around 64-128 megs). I've seen a bunch online and at stores for sale, but anyone here personaly use them and know what a good brand is? I want one that hooks to a keychain and can take a good amount of abuse (I don't care about extra features like security- my main concern is will it break easily and be around for a good while). Any ideas?
