My Windows 2000 system has started spontaneously reducing the key-repeat rate and the rate at which windows scroll, slowing each to a crawl. Other weirdness accompanies this. [more inside]

How can I fix or adjust the keypad of my new Dell laptop to prevent the cursor from jumping to other spaces, other lines, highlighted blocks of text, even calling up random functions.
In the user's guide installed on the HD there are instructions for adjusting the touch pad, but not the keyboard.
Over at Dell Hell I find nothing. I'm on the road, limited Internet access, could use some personal experience.

I've been looking for a one-hand keyboard. I've tried the Frogpad
but the learning curve proved to be too high. I was looking for a solution that would essentially 'mirror' the right side of the keyboard to the keys on the left when a modifier key was pressed (the G key would be modified to H, F to J, etc.). [more inside]

I came home today and woke my Mac (OS X 10.3.9) from sleep, triggering a horrible cocophony from the disc tray, which I opened to find that my darling son had stacked a DVD and a Delta blues CD on top of each other in there. Luckily, the drive wasn't damaged, but I want to disable the top right disc eject button to prevent him from doing this again. How? [more inside]

I'm interested in wearable computing and am curious if anyone has any resources for information. More importantly, I'm wanting to get a one handed keyboard. I've seen the Frogpad but would like to know all of my options. I'm preferablly looking for something bluetooth that can be used with my Blackberry.
Thanks in advance.

I'm almost 30 and I can't type properly--that is, I can't touch-type. My problem: I am fairly good (~35 wpm) at the three-finger-and-thumb-vision-assisted-hunt-and-peck. Unfortunately, this goes to heck when I transcribe or read while typing and can no longer glance at the keyboard.
Has anyone out there successfully broken bad keyboard habits? How?

How do I swap the control and command keys on a mac? Since I use a PC from the very same keyboard, I'm constantly flubbing up my copy and pastes between OSes. I'd like to just stick with one, and control-c feels more natural. I've tried the Keyboard system preferences pane. I've changed the Modifier Keys settings to swap them, but it doesn't do anything. Do I need to run an app to swap these keystrokes?

Portions of my Dell laptop keyboard keep going in and out. Sometimes, one group of keys won't work (5, 6, -, del, and ins, among a couple others). Now, it's tab, tilde, 1, q, a, and Z. The problem only appears when restarting the laptop, never during use. Any suggestions?

Can anyone recommend a programmable USB keyboard for use with a Mac/PC? I want one that works like the old Gateway AnyKey keyboards that let you define the macros on the keyboard itself NOT via software. This should allow it to work smoothly with Mac/PC/Linux and play nicely with my KVM.
Personal experience is preferred, since I already know how to poke around on google.

The best keyboard I have ever used was the one that shipped with NeXTStations. It was loud and obnoxous, but had great feedback and I felt it added about 10 WPM to my typing.
Does anyone know any details of how they were constructed / are they available in USB or PS/2 / does anyone make a close knockoff version?
