How can I try out a Filco Majestouch keyboard? Inspired by an earlier question today, I looked it up on the web, but most of what I could find was Japan-centered. Any ideas about how I could find one to try, or even to order? I'm in the US (Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina).

DIY Keyboard: It's my understanding that I can take an old PII computer running, say, Windows 98, hook up a cheap MIDI keyboard to it and presto change-o have a grand piano or Hammond B-3 keyboard. Is that the case, if so what's the best way to do it (what software?), what else is there to do, or else what do I have wrong? [more inside]
What's the best digital keyboard for $500? What about for $1k? I'm not a hard-core musician, but I enjoy sitting down at a piano and just screwing around. I took some lesions when I was a kid. I'd like to be able to hook it up to a computer and use it with training software, as well as for composition, but I'm assuming that's a pretty standard feature these days. [more inside]
I want to learn to play keyboard, a continuation of sorts of this question. When I say this, I mean a MIDI controller - for the sake of being a midi controller, not as a stepping stone to piano. My goal lies primarily in doing something creative musically (dare I say "compostition" at some point down the line) with software synths played live (by me, not a tracker). So the answers to that last question have sent me on my way theory wise, but how do I learn to actually, you know, move my fingers around? [more inside]
I switched from Windows XP to Ubuntu one month ago. Everything was working perfectly well until this week, but now I am having keyboard problems. [more inside]
My cats are shedding a lot. As a result, my laptop (Dell Inspiron 700m) keyboard is filled with hair. I have had to remove a few keys to fix the problem. Until today, no problemo. But I didn't know how weird that shift key was. I can't get it to click back into place correctly. I really can't go without my laptop, given my current job, so sending the thing off to Dell is pretty much out of the question. Can I get some tips on fixing this myself? Or does anyone know what kinds of stores fix laptop keyboards? While I'm at it, anyone know a good way to protect laptop keyboards from cat hair so this won't happen again?

Every time I need to enter an address in a webpage while using my Mac, I can tab from field to field, but the state field (which is often a drop down menu) gets skipped over, and I have to leave the keyboard to select my state with the mouse from the drop down menu. I hate that. Is threre an extension, either for Firefox (my browser of choice) or OS X in general, that will allow me to tab to a drop down menu, and select from its choices via the keyboard, as I can in Windows?

I've got a tower (AMD 3000+ with a gigabyte motherboard, 3/4ths of a gig of ram, etc.) that I'm trying to set up for a media center. I can go and edit my bios settings, save and exit, etc. However, on the next screen (where I have the option of booting from CD and such) keyboard input ceases to be. [more inside]

How can I fix or adjust the keypad of my new Dell laptop to prevent the cursor from jumping to other spaces, other lines, highlighted blocks of text, even calling up random functions. I've been looking for a one-hand keyboard. I've tried the Frogpad but the learning curve proved to be too high.
