Macbook keyboard issues: I clicked on a google search result and was sneakily redirected to one of those malware scan sites, now macbook keyboard is doing funny things. The arrows do not work and the apostrophe and forward slash keys bring up the "find" window at the bottom of the screen (firefox). How do cancel out whichever setting was changed and get my key functionality back?

Have you ever seen a portable
digital piano - not merely a controller - with graded hammer action but fewer than 88 keys? Some of the big music stores have told me that they don't know of any. (Counter-examples: The Studiologic VMK-161 Plus is a controller with 61-key hammer action, but it has no internal sounds. The Yamaha YPG-225/DGX-220 is a 76-key piano/synth but apparently doesn't have hammer action.) Thanks.

Is there any way for me to tell if someone has installed software on my Macbook, like a keyboard logger, without my knowledge? I'm a bit of a Mac newbie, and I'm pretty sure my roomie is looking at my email to see if I've been corresponding with his ex-girlfriend (which I have NOT been doing, for what it's worth).

Is there a keyboard shortcut that opens a Google reader item in a new firefox tab without shifting the focus (with os x, if that matters)? The list of Google Reader shortcuts is
here, and none of them seem to be able to open up an item in a new tab or window without also shifting the focus away from the reader. If this doesn't come standard, does anyone know of a plugin or extension that would add this functionality? Googling turned up nothing. Thanks!

Succour for Aged Computers Filter: I've got an old computer that is having two problems. 1) When it boots up, it always asks to go into safemode. This is an old problem. 2) when it boots up, I can use the kb to select safemode (or not) or make selections in the bios, but when XP loads up, mouse and kb aren't working!

After only living in tiny apartments, I'm moving to a two story house, but I'm an utter newbie about household networking. Here's the main dilemma:
Upstairs, in my office, my Macbook Pro will power an external monitor and keyboard. That's where I'll do most of my work.
Downstairs, I intend to buy a 52" HD monitor to watch DVDs. I'd like the option to sometimes work down there....with the upstairs computer driving the downstairs monitor, and using a cordless keyboard that talks to the upstairs computer.
Note: I won't ever need to drive monitors simultaneously.
Is there any way to do this? Or do I need to buy a downstairs computer, and network the computers so both HD's are kept dynamically in synch (e.g. via Leopard's "Time Machine")? That'd be more expensive, though I could probably get away with using a pretty old/crappy computer downstairs (so long as its HD is at least as large as the one upstairs so they can synch properly, and so long as it has enough video ram to drive the large monitor).

I am trying to replace a laptop keyboard but the final screw has burred and neither the regular or precision screwdriver works. If someone suggests that I go to repairman and 50 bucks to fix this, I am likely to do serious damage to this laptop (namely by throwing it against a wall). Any ideas?

Why does Blogger let me title a new post and then automatically skip to submit (as though I've pressed the button) whenever I try to type anything in the main body area? It's like all of the keys on my keyboard are mapped to the submit button whenever the cursor is in the main body area.
For what it's worth, it will let me copy and paste my posts into the same area.

Whats a good keyboard that for gaming and
frets on fire? I just found out my favorite microsoft natural doesnt support more than 2 keys being pressed (f1-f5) for FoF. I'm using a dell that allows 3. Is it a USB convertor? Are there better brands? I'm suspecting that some of the FPS games I thought where lag issues might have been just keyboard key press issues as I sometimes hold down shift. I never even thought of this as a problem for gaming.
