Microbrew kegs near Chicago?

What microbreweries within a hour or two's drive of Chicago will sell me a keg (half barrel) of a good, micro-brewed beer today or sometime this week? Great Lakes is too far, Three Floyds doesn't sell kegs to the public, and the selection at the local liquor stores never has all the things that I want (although I may do that as a fallback). I can't get ahold of anyone at Capital to figure out if they sell to the public or not. I know that I am missing some good regional breweries, but every place is either too far, I've never heard of it or they don't sell kegs to the public. Help!

How should I get 170 people good and drunk?

I'm doing a (semi) limited bar at my wedding reception on a (semi) limited budget. What is the best hard liquor to serve? How much should I buy? We would also love to hear suggestions for wine and champagne that offer the most for our dollar. My reception facility is mercifully BYOB, so we will be stocking both bars. We want to serve beer (at least two kinds), wine (white and red), two or three kinds of hard liquor, and champagne if the budget allows. We're also doing a few signature cocktails, so our hard liquors will definitely include tequila and rum. Our facility will be stocking all of our mixers for us.

We'll have about 170 drinkers and a budget of $600-$700. However, if this is too little we can raid other areas of the budget to make sure we cover any monetary shortfalls.

My questions:
1) Is about 3 glasses of beer per drinker enough? We can obtain two 1/2 kegs and two 1/4 kegs of two very nice beers for $250. That should yield almost 500 12 ounce glasses of beer.

2) How much red wine should we buy? How much white wine should we buy? What brands/vintages should we look for?

3) Are there any other hard liquors that we should consider stocking? How much should we buy?

4) What are some good budget champagne suggestions? Would it be terribly gauche to buy just a few bottles of the nicer stuff for the lucky few who get to them first?

I'm not much of a drinker, so please let me borrow your refined palettes.

Thank you, Ask Metafilter, for continuing to plan my wedding!

I'd like a keg to stand on...

PartyStoreFilter: Best place to buy kegs (decent prices, good selection) in the northeast Los Angeles area? I'm in charge of obtaining the brew for a party this weekend, and I think a keg or two is the way to go. I'd like to find a store in the Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena area that has a decent number of options (domestic and imports) and doesn't charge absurdly high prices.

I've had really bad luck with just driving around and stopping at corner liquor stores (either no kegs at all, or crappy beer for high prices), and calling random stores in the phone book hasn't yielded the best results either.

I miss the store we used to get our kegs from in college. *sniff*

My home draft system likes to pur foamy beer!

Beer At Home becomes Foam At Home. As a wedding gift, Banjo and I recently acquired a Sanyo home draft system. The problem is that it dispenses at a foam-to-beer ratio of 3-to-1. What to do? [Pour Inside] Specs:
Beer - full keg (1/2 barrel) of Smuttynose Portsmouth Lager, picked up cold from liquor store and kept cold until placement in cold fridge unit.
Temperature - 36-38 degrees. A full pint of water left in the keg over night will get a bit of ice in it.
CO2 Pressure - Over the past week, I've tried it from 4 - 12 psi. I've let the keg run and given time between each pressure fiddle.
Pouring - Glass pint glass, held to tap and tilted.
Gas lines - Sealed. No discernable leaks.

Sometimes when pouring there's a 'glop' of air/foam when the tap is first opened.

The only variables I have control over are the temperature and the pressure. I've experimented with both, so don't know what else to do. Options, please!

As a bonus question, what should my next keg be when the Smutty kicks?
