For better or worse, I am regarded as somewhat of an authority in a particular field (yes I have a blog about it). For this reason, I am getting requests for information about the subject matter from mainstream media journalists and writers. This is a new situation for me and I don't know how best to handle it. After living most of my life in a secular bubble, I've been asked to fill in as a producer for a religion-focused public radio show. Religious folk: please help me to do the best job I possibly can. (anonymous because my question relates to my job and employer, which could be identified from my posting history) [more inside]

Crash course in journalism filter: I have a job interview for a scientific web-journalism position later this week. I have experience doing a wide variety of writing but have never done this sort of journalism before. Better yet, part of the interview involves a 45 minute test. I think this will test my journalistic skill. So does any have any crash-course in online journalism links, advice, etc? [more inside]

I'm a 25 year old journalism major riddled with major debt who has two years of school to go. How should I go about handling my debt situation and finishing school with the ultimate goal of becoming a successful print journalist? Furthermore, am I a fool to enter this field considering my rather unpleasant financial picture? Life advice, please. [more inside]
