Bullet Journal journaling newbie. Simple resources?

I've wanted a good paper planner for a while, but can't find one I like. Inspired by the responses in this AskMe question, I think a bullet journal might work for me. I'm looking for YouTube channels or blog posts that outline how to start one from scratch. I'm also looking for any tips you have on maintaining one, or making it look pretty without spending hours on it. Thanks! [more inside]

Updated version of School Days Record Book

As a kid I was given a copy of the School Days Record Book illustrated by Helen Cann, a type of journal where you can record memories of your schooling years from pre-school to end of high school. This version's out of print/only available used; I'm looking for recommendations for a similar school-oriented journal that's more current. (Bonus points if compatible with the UK education system)

How do I document my days?

For YEARS I have wanted to keep a short diary of just a few things that happened to me that day. Not deep thoughts and feelings: just the facts. But for some reason I can never keep it up. Do you have any ideas on how to do this? Paper? An online system? A blog? A picture journal? Or even better, a strategy (in the morning, while brushing teeth, etc.?)

Someone described to me an online "finding yourself" sort of thing, where you get writing prompts every day for weeks. It's run, I think, by the wife in a couple of Ayn Randian Objectivists, though I don't think Objectivism is overtly a part of the online course. [more inside]

Can I distribute scans of an out-of-print journal?

A few years ago I submitted to and was published in a quarterly journal of essays. The journal is still published, but has since changed its focus and the issue I was published in is out of print and no longer for sale. A foreign student found my name on the contributors list and emailed me to ask if I could send him scans of the issue to aid his research for an essay he's writing. I'm having this kinda voyeuristic desire to read about the everyday experiences of other people's lives. Small, quad-ruled notebook for someone with tiny handwriting

I'm looking for a smallish notebook of entirely quad-ruled (graph) paper. Complication: I'd like the lines to be spaced quite close, at 0.1 in. or 3 mm. I've found plenty of notebooks with 0.25 in. grids, but at 0.1 in. I'm having a hard time even finding pads. Other things I would really like (but aren't deal-breakers like grid size is): hardcover, 70+ pages, not wider than 4 in. Has anyone here gone looking for something like this before? Any recommendations?

How should I use my new "a few lines per day" five-year journal?

Where can I create a free online journal with prompts that I create?

I'm trying to steer myself toward some daily routines beyond just human maintenance and sustenance. I don't have any ultimate goals to achieve, it's more about daily practice and keeping myself focused on "keepin' on keepin' on" in a few areas that are important to me but that I tend to neglect. I can't find quite what I'm looking for with Google. I can best describe what I want by describing how I would do it on paper: (1)Create a question form with a list of questions and some space to respond essay-style to each question. (For myself the questions would be something like "How was your meditation today?" "What new thing did you create today?" "What artist did you read about today?") (2)Photocopy this form 100 times or so. (3)Fill out one form each day. Is there a free site where I can do this online, or should I just create it on paper with some photocopies in a three-ring binder?

Looking for software to catalog work notes

I write a lot of notes for my work, which I type up to keep for my records. My current way to organize these notes is as separate files per day, labeled with the date and a descriptive title. This is decent, but doesn't allow me to easily reference old notes by topic, especially when there are numerous individual references under a single broader topic. Are there programs to help catalog notes and journals by themes, or cross-reference topics, in a vague database format? I'm working in Windows.
