Forgot to mention something important at job interview -- what now?

I just had a job interview for a job I really want that went really well. So well that I forgot to mention something kind of important: I started a part-time retail job between applying and hearing back about the interview (it was almost a month and I've been unemployed since May, so needed something to pay the bills) that I'd have to give notice at, but I'd hopefully be able to get shifts covered. I haven't had any direct e-mail contact with the person who interviewed me, only with the administrative assistant. They would want me to start ASAP. I'll probably be going in for a second interview sometime next week. How and when do I mention this? More important, how and when do I mention this in a way that isn't going to ruin my chances of getting this job?

Dream Company wants me -- so why haven't I heard back from my recruiter?

Dream company headhunted me a month ago for dream job(s). They were eager to get to know me the first week, and now, four weeks later, I haven't heard from them at all despite their professed interest in me and desire to get me in for an interview. This is weird because I am uniquely qualified for the jobs they're trying to fill and they sounded desperate. Given the communication history described behind the cut, what should my next steps be? Applying for a new job- but what to do about a planned vacation?

After years of being on the fence about leaving and gritting my teeth while putting up with a shitty work environment, I'm ready to start applying for jobs. It's taken me a long time to get brave enough to do this, so I'm pretty happy that I'm going to pull the plug! But I feel like I can't start applying for positions because of an upcoming vacation, and I'm not sure what to do. [more inside]

Use headhunter as well as the boss-approved method to get an interview?

I was contacted about a job with a company by a HR recruiter (not from that company) on LinkedIn. I was aware of this job from the company’s website and also I have a friend who is working at that company in a peer position. That friend said he spoke to his boss, and his boss said I should apply for the job via the company's website, so I did. Would there be any benefit following up with the HR recruiter from LinkedIn anyway? [more inside]

Time to get a new job.

I'm trying to find a new job so I can start actually saving some money and move into my own place. I'm a college grad with a linguistics degree living in northern NJ. For the past three years, I've been living with family, paying a small amount of rent each month, living a paycheck-to-paycheck existence and working a job I don't particularly enjoy. I'm done with this, but I don't know where to begin. I know there are a lot of posts such as this one on here, but I'd like to try to find answers particular to my situation. [more inside]

Do I apply for (nearly) the same job again?

About five weeks ago, I applied for what seemed to be a great job at the university from which I recently graduated. (It's not a teaching/faculty position.) I applied about a week before the deadline and I think I'm a good candidate for it. The website, which is updated daily during the week, says that it has yet to be filled, that the selection is still in progress. However, I just saw a new job posting go up with the same title with a few small differences. I haven't been notified one way or the other as to the first job. How do I navigate applying for the newly-posted job? More specific information inside. [more inside]

How do I apply for a job for two months from now?

I'm relocating in 2 months and currently doing the job search. How do I handle current job postings which do not specify a start date: apply anyway and state my arrival time (or don't mention it)?
