Looking for a song I heard in a commercial today... "Hold On" in the Healthtex advertisement. i heard a song in a Healthtex baby clothing commercial today.
with a little searching it seems that it is called Hold On and was written for the commercial, by a couple of the guys from They Might Be Giants.

The little bit i hear sounds remarkably like "the World Spins Madly On" by the Weepies.

Can anyone confirm a connection?
I can't seem to find any where to get the song as an Mp3 can any one help me with that?

How to get Weather Network music?

Where can I get the music that The Weather Network plays on air? They have a series of different repetitive jingles they play in various broadcasts ("Local Forecast","Extreme Weather", etc). I have a friend who loves TWN and the music they play. It would be fun to get it for her somehow.

The official answer from their FAQ:
Can I find the music that The Weather Network plays on air?
The Weather Network's music comes from a music library that is packaged for commercial use only.

What is the jingle on the Suzuki Grand Vitara "Basejump" Commercial? It has been previously asked who the actress was. A link to a video of the commercial was provided. Can anybody name the song? Thanks.

Bica-Bica-Bica-Bica Camera!!

Where can I download the Bic Camera jingle? I'm about to leave Japan after 2 weeks holiday. In the most amazing electronics shop "Bic Camera" they play their jolly jingle over and over, and goddammit I've grown to love it. Without standing in said shop with a video camera, how can I get a copy (mp3 ideally) of this catchy tune?

Anyone work in Bic Camera and able to swipe the CD for ripping?

Where can I find an m&ms jingle from the 80s?

Where can I find a copy of the song "Grab On To That M&M's Feeling?" My buddy wants to play it at his wedding reception. A good friend's bride-to-be has abnormally fond memories of a commercial jingle called "Grab on to that M&M's Feeling." My friend has been searching high and low for a copy of the song, in hopes that he can play it for her at the wedding.

The M&M's people say "sorry, man." Google found me the producer of the song, who I e-mailed but haven't heard from yet.

The lyrics are:

I feel like I wanna be feelin'
Look at the smile on my lips
I've got that M&M's feelin'
Right at my fingertips

So carefree they fit any plan
Milk chocolate melts in your mouth not in your hand
You wanna (gotta?)

Grab on to that M&Ms feelin'

I realize this sounds absurd, but I think playing a 20 year old M&M's jingle at a wedding would be, under the circumstances, a very romantic gesture. And I am all for romantic gestures.

commercail jingle identification?

Name that jingle. No lyrics. I don't even know on what commercials it can be heard. It's failry old, but not that obscure. I've googled and used melody search engines but had no luck. Here's how the basic melody goes...
up, up, up, down, down, up, down.
up, up, up, down, down, up, down.
up, up, up, down,up. down, down, up. down, down,up,down,up

repeat

The notes sound as if they are being played on some synthethsized instrument and are very short and simple. Almost like syntheitic bubbles melodically popping for each note.

There's a Pogo sequence in which Albert Alligator (I think) is trying to come up with an advertising jingle, and one of the several he writes ends "...They're gristle to your mill!" What's he advertising? What're the full jingles? This is has been weighing on my mind for a few days.

High-Pitched Quiet Melody Played on WBBM Radio During Mystery Theater?

When I was a kid in the late 70s and early 80s, I used to hear this strange, eerie tune on the radio late at night. What WAS it? [more inside.] I used to listen to this radio program called The CBS Radio Mystery Theatre (Twilight Zone-like radio plays). The station I listened to it on was WBBM in Chicago. After I'd been listening for about a year, I started getting this uneasy feeling at certain times during the broadcast, but I couldn't figure out why.

Then I realized what it was: there was a weird little tune playing over-and-over again in the background, so quiet that it was just on the edge of my consciousness. Every night, this tune would start playing, but always at different times. Quiet as it was, after I became aware of it, I couldn't NOT hear it. Sometimes I would drift off to sleep during the show, and then suddenly snap awake when that tune started playing. When I asked other people to listen to it, they generally couldn't hear it unless I taped the show and played it over and over again. Then they'd say, "oh yeah! I hear it now."

Now, this wasn't background music to the radio drama, because sometimes I would hear it WHILE the real background music was playing. Anyway, it wasn't appropriate to the stories. Actually, the music may have had nothing to do with the CBS Mystery Theatre. I might have been something WBBM was playing, and it might have played during other programs too, but at that time, the Mystery Theatre was the only thing I listened to on that station.

It occurred to me that it might be coming from another station close by, and that the sound might be bleeding into WBBM. So I spend hours subtly adjusting the radio dial, but it was pretty clear to me that the tune was coming from WBBM.

It was a short tune that repeated about 10 times and then stopped. It was very quiet, and it sounded like it was being played on the very high keys of a piano (no chords, just a tapped out melody) or maybe even a child's xylophone.

That tune will be stuck in my head forever! I made an mp3 of myself whistling it. It's really bad in quality, because my mic is old and broken, but all of the crackling will simulate the way I used to hear it, because WBBM didn't come through all that clearly.

mystery tune

This is one of the biggest mysteries of my life. If anyone can clear it up, I'll be eternally grateful!
