I want to put interesting smallish things in a
poison ring that I was given. The chamber is about a centimeter wide (across my finger) and .75 cm in the other dimensions. What can I put in there?

I have inherited a watch that was purchased a few years ago for about $2000. It has rarely been worn and I think it has all of the box/paperwork with it (from what I can see from similar watches online), including the purchase receipt. My question is where/how can I sell it? Either by listing it online, but there seems to be so many websites, or in person via a second hand dealer or similar?
I've seen lots of watch websites, but are some better than others? Especially considering I don't have a profile or history on such sites. Thanks

Home for Christmas and my mom has a jewelry question. She tried cleaning the chain of her gold necklace using silver polish, and when she did, it turned silver. Why? And can it be reversed?

My 75 year-old dad's house was robbed and several pieces of jewelry were taken including his dad's old ring. He's trying to claim insurance on it but they won't pay unless they can see a picture of something like it. My dad doesn't have a picture of the ring, or a computer to look up something similar. I don't live in the area. How can I help him remotely or guide him to someplace in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles area where he might be able to find a ring of similar value.

how are jewelry brand watches (e.g. Cartier, Boucheron, Harry Winston) regarded among watch enthusiasts? Is it the same as 'designer' watches in that they're not taken seriously?

Is it irredeemably tacky to wear fancy, vintage rhinestone and sparkly jewelry in the daytime? I have a lovely, large collection that I want to show off. BUT, I never do fancy "evening" occasions.

I just bought
this pin on Etsy (
side and
back view). It was listed by a Latvian seller who says it's a vintage Soviet-era item. This pin must have been a mass-produced item, since I saw one exactly like it on Etsy last spring, though someone else beat me to the purchase that time. I'm intrigued by the image of swans seemingly menacing a woman and her child, and I wonder if it perhaps references a Slavic folktale. A friend has suggested that it might be a
Swan Lake reference, though to my mind it doesn't suit the narrative. Your thoughts and best guesses?

So I'm a manly man, sort of, and many years ago I was given a small opal (1cm top to bottom) - I don't think it has any real monetary value, but it's
pretty, and I'm tired of it living in my drawer. Any ideas for what I can do with it? My first thought was tie pin, but that seems pedestrian. Suggestions that include sources for necessary supplies or services would be especially helpful.

I work for a manufacturer looking to sell fashion jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, earrings that sell for appx $5-$20 at retail like the kind you'd find at stores like Claires, H&M, Forever 21, etc) to retail stores. For purposes of this question, we're looking to sell to general retailers like the ones above, NOT to jewelry stores.
We're trying to figure out packaging as it relates to polybags. Most stores, such as the ones above, display their fashion jewelry without polybags i.e. people can touch and feel the jewelry.

Is there a name for the ring you wear between a mis-matched engagement ring and a wedding ring that serves to adapt the round form of one to the flat form of the other? Where do I get one? In San Francisco, preferably. Bonus if the jeweler specializes in vintage pieces.
