iPhone 3G unlocking for any sim card problems. I have successfully jailbroken my iPhone 3G. Can install apps, its just I cannot use the iphone as a phone.

Is there any fixes or updates that can unlock a 3G iphone to work with any simcard. Or do I need to wait until it is released.

I successfully unlocked m 2G phone no problems, its just the 3 version.

How to syne Outlook Notes to Ipod Touch?

How do I sync the 'Notes' in MS Outlook to go to the Notes on an iPod Touch? I synced the other stuff from outlook, but the notes from outlook don't come over. If this can't be done, is there any way to sync text files to the Touch, or enable a portion for disk space like the other iPods? Would jailbreaking the Touch help to accomplish this?

[Jailbreaking-an-iPhone-Filter]: Seduced my the possibility of various apps upping my phone's usability (and thus my own productivity), I've decided I want to jailbreak my iPhone. What is the best way to do this? What are the probable the caveats?

There are several really promising applications (like iphonenotes, fring [!!!!!], and drunknbass) that would significantly increase the value I get from my iPhone. I’ve already read this Lifehacker article, but certain issues (like that described in this comment) make me a little hesitant. So, I'm look to you for both your suggestions and anecdotal evidence to assuage my trepidation.

Just to clarify, I do not want to 'unlock' my iPhone (I am content with my AT&T service); I merely want to jailbreak it to allow for greater feature implementation.

So, onto my slew of questions:

In your experience with jailbreaking your iPhone, have you run into any difficulties? What sort of obstacles can I expect?

What is the best method of doing this? I’ve heard of ZiPhone, iPlus, Pwnage...which one did you use? Which would you suggest?

I’ve heard conflicting reports Re: voicemail with jailbroken phones. If I jailbreak using ZiPhone, will I lose the “visual voicemail” feature? (That could potentially be a deal-breaker for me.)

Will jailbreaking my phone significantly alter any of the pre-existing apps on my phone (i.e. Googlemaps, youtube, iTunes, Weather, etc)?

Will jailbreaking my phone hinder my ability to use the multiple-alarm function?

What will happen to all of the webclip icons (like the pretty metafilter one) that I’ve saved to my homepage? Will I have to reinstall these?

Is there a possibility that I will be faced with having to repair specific drivers or anything?

Since I’m not attempting to unlock my phone, do I still run the risk of bricking it?

If there are any obvious concerns that I'm overlooking (or that I clearly haven't considered), please hell me get my head out of the sand. Thank you!

Good apps for the iPhone?

What are some good downloadable apps for the iPhone and where can I find them? I just bought one 2 weeks ago and I love it, I haven't been too impressed with the apps I have found in the usual locations. Is it just too soon or have any of y'all found any gems? Entertainment, organization or business apps are all good.

iPhone Performance issues with the most recent version of Summerboard and 1.1.3? Back in the 1.0.1 days (I think) I ran into some horrible slowdowns and lockups. I've avoided Summerboard(and customize) ever since.

A quick google search reported similar performance issues back in the day-how are things currently? There seems to be a LOT of Summerboard themes in the installer so I'd imagine its quite heavily used. Last thing I want is to compromise the performance of my phone.

Jailbreak the iPhone

I want to jailbreak my iPhone... I bought an iPhone two days ago and it came with firmware 1.1.3.... It will not let me downgrade to any other version, at least I have not had luck downgrading. Can anyone point me in a direction to downgrade a phone that came with 1.1.3 firmware or jailbreak the phone?

Note: I own a Macbook with an intel processor.

I jailbroke my iPhone. Now when I put in my tmobile sim it says that the it's incompatible! At first I thought this had to do with "my faves" that tmobile does, but I search on here and they said that would work fine. No idea what to do now!

Can someone please explain to me in complete detail, every single step necessary for jailbreaking my iPhone? Everything I've found online has left me completely baffled. Both my iPhone and iTunes are updated to the most recent versions available. I feel like all of the tutorials I've found online are assuming I am some genius hacker when that couldn't be further from the truth.
Please spell it out for me like I am 5 years old. Please include links to the files I need to download, and tell me where they need to go (don't assume I know where a particular system folder is!). Thank you. (I'm using a Powerbook, in case that matters).
