I generally wear the geek jeans and tshirt uniform, and I'm (mostly) happy with that. The ones that I currently wear are begining to die, but I'm really bad at clothes shopping and am having trouble replacing them. Help me replace them before I start looking like a total slob. [more inside]

Back in the day, I had a black leather motorcycle jacket painted up in the usual punk style: Big back patch, studs, spikes, chains, the works. I'm older now, and I'd like to keep the jacket while getting rid of the youthful excess that covers it.
How do I rehabilitate my old leather jacket? [more inside]

I bought myself a leather jacket in the biker style
. The jacket length is perhaps an inch or so too long. The jacket is made from thick and still somewhat creaky leather. What can I do to alter it? Would you advise me to attempt it myself?

Ok I'm convinced, I want an "eVent" waterproof jacket. The problem is I want to try it on (hopefully in New York City or surrounding area) and eVent is a terrible name to Google. [more inside]

Where can a leather jacket be repaired near White Plains, NY? My son's new jacket brushed against a metal fence and has a clean slice in the sleeve. 2 tailors want to glue and stitch it, but I'm afraid it will look as if the jacket has a scar. Any suggestions?

Sexy Suits: This weekend I saw a woman wearing a blazer with a double-hem at the bottom, kind of like this one
. It wasn't that one though - it was sharper, nicer fabric, not as round, with stronger diagonal line from the hip downwards. I so need one of these jackets! [more inside]

So, I saw a jacket at Banana Republic I liked, and I decided to buy it. I was offered 20% off if I applied for a store card, which I did. I plan to close the account when I pay off the jacket.
