I'm 19, and I want to buy a leather jacket to last me the rest of my life. Any suggestions as to brands, styles, or where to get one? Ideally I could wear it all my life, wear it in like a good pair of boots, and possibly hand it down to my son, or at least my 10-year-younger brother when it became his time.

So its about time to get a new leather jacket. I'm male and looking for either a "car coat" or "walking coat" style and I need it in ~2XLT. I can't find anything good at Burlington, Zappos, or Wilsons.
Anyone have a good idea where else to hunt something like this up online? I don't necessarily need to purchase it online, but at least hunt for a jacket whose look I like.

Back in the day, I had a black leather motorcycle jacket painted up in the usual punk style: Big back patch, studs, spikes, chains, the works. I'm older now, and I'd like to keep the jacket while getting rid of the youthful excess that covers it.
How do I rehabilitate my old leather jacket?

I bought myself a leather jacket in the
biker style. The jacket length is perhaps an inch or so too long. The jacket is made from thick and still somewhat creaky leather. What can I do to alter it? Would you advise me to attempt it myself?

Where can a leather jacket be repaired near White Plains, NY? My son's new jacket brushed against a metal fence and has a clean slice in the sleeve. 2 tailors want to glue and stitch it, but I'm afraid it will look as if the jacket has a scar. Any suggestions?
