iTunes match question: If I "match" 40 gigs of music off of my laptop, I know I can then download tracks to my iPhone whenever I want, but could I ever re-sync it back to another Mac? How about a PC? Do those tracks have DRM on them?

I had been using a mac to keep my media files and had been using "Ripit" to rip my DVD's and "identify" to tag the resulting files and put into itunes to watch on Apple TV.
Due to file space I have moved to a PC running Windows 7 to do this. And while I have found software to rip the DVD's I cannot find software to add the tags such as "synopsis", "cover art", and "episode details"?
You suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Me-Fi

Now I've signed up to iTunes Match, the only thing my iPhone and iPad sync with iTunes for is apps. Is there any point in me continuing to do this? Or can this be turned off and the apps deleted? What are the downsides if I do this?

CD Ripping - how to break tracks into smaller chunks? itunes or MediaMonkey. I recently got a copy of Stay Awake, a CD of new artists doing covers of old Disney songs, and I want to rip it to my computer. Several tracks are medleys - 3 or 4 songs running into each other as a single track. I know I can rip these individually, and then use a cutting program to make an individual copy of the songs, but is there an easier/automated way?

Nitpicky question: I'm not real happy with the name of the iTunes section "Audiobooks" - I'm usually using it to stash stand up albums or other stuff that isn't music. I'd like to rename it, something like "Performances." Is there a way I can tweak my (English) language files to make this happen?

Is it possible to listen to realplayer ( links?) with itunes?
I enjoy listening to airchecks from the website reelradio.com. It seems that all their links to the audio they feature are all realplayer in origin. It would suit me better if I could listen to them in itunes. Is there a way to do this,hive? I know I can not download these. looking for a solution.

I need to replace iTunes. I have a very large (600 GB of only music) library and iTunes can't handle it anymore. All I want is something that will show me all of my music sortable by artist, album, or title. I sort all the music myself and don't want a program to do that for me. Playlists would be nice but are optional. That's literally all I need. (I'm on a Mac running OS 10.5.) Thanks MeFi!

Music discovery filter: Is there available online (like a service) or an app which will help me find other artists/songs based on ones I already like? I'm thinking of something like iTunes' Genius but which (hopefully) works better. Too often Genius is unable to return any suggestions, perhaps because my tastes are too weird. Even something that would return 2 or 3 artists or songs would be helpful.

I'm using iTunes 10.5.3.3 to sync my iPhone 4S. (running win xp sp3)
Currently, It's time to format my PC C:\ drive.
I have all my music on the D drive (I don't need to backup songs before formatting C drive)
iTunes currently sync to those files,
and I need to recover iTunes full settings after the format.
(so iTunes could have the same Library and Playlists 'picture' equals to prior formatting.
How can I do that ?
what files need to be backed-up before formatting,
and I can I make iTunes full recover on a new formatted C drive ?
