We have a bunch of kids books we got through the iTunes Store. They have audio and video elements and are not available via YouTube. Is there a way to stream these books to our tv using a Roku device?
I am looking for a usb or bluetooth device that I can use to control Powerpoint/Google slides AND iTunes. [more inside]
My iTunes library consists of 80% complete albums and 20% singles from bands. Without going through and tagging all those singles in any specific way, is there a way to create a smart playlist that will pull all the music with the criteria artist-has-only-one-track or something similar?
I've migrated all my songs to iTunes Match, because I don't have space on my hard drive. But some of my ripped tracks have weird names, dating back from when I manually ripped the CDs. Is there a way of (semi?)automatically correcting these without having to download my whole library, or go through manually? [more inside]
Is there hope in restoring photos that have not been backed up or synced onto iCloud? [more inside]
My husband has a problem with his computer and we can’t figure it out. He has a PC with Windows 8.0. He’s having trouble with three specific programs (Chrome, Google Earth and iTunes). The three problems started at about the same time. Is this a problem with his PC or with the programs or something else? (details and pictures inside). [more inside]
Itunes 11.1.5 MAC OS X 10.7.5 --- I made a mixtape with a hodgepodge of MP3's that I downloaded from here & there. What do I need to do in the ID3 Editor to make sure they import into Itunes as one album and in the correct order? (Currently it makes 3-4 albums of the same name with a few of the songs in each identically named album.) [more inside]
I'm wondering if it's technically possible to "weight" a song's importance on a playlist so that it has a higher chance of being played. With that weigh ranging from "100% certainty" to "do not care one way or the other." [more inside]
I'd really like to give someone an iTunes gift voucher. Problem: I'm in the UK and they're in the US, and my googling so far says it can't be done cross-border. Is there a workaround I'm missing?
Does anyone know if there's something wrong with the Kevin Pollak Chat Show video podcast iTunes feed? Starting with the 5/20/14 episode #204, only the episodes titles are downloading automatically from the subscription into my iTunes but not the episodes themselves. [more inside]

I normally listen to podcasts streamed from my iPhone 5 to my car over bluetooth or occasionally via USB. A few times, I've plugged in the phone only to have it start playing a random track, one which I have never downloaded and which (I have confirmed by searching on my phone and on a synced computer) is not in my iTunes music library. I don't think it's through iTunes radio, either, as the songs do not appear in my radio history and are unlikely to be generated by the stations I have developed. Where are these songs coming from??? This morning it was something by Of Montreal, if that's helpful.
I am obsessed with DJ Yoda, who is a pretty famous turntablist DJ. Example of his work In a nutshell, he takes either existing music or beats he creates on his own and mixes it with dialogue samples from other music, tv shows, movies, etc.....Add some scratching and all that type of stuff. I wanna learn how to do that. What do I need? [more inside]

I am unable to play over 50% of my 5000 songs on iTunes due to the red circle problem described here. Apple doesn't have a solution (called apple care several times) but perhaps the hive mind does. Please help. [more inside]
I was going to buy James Ellroy's the cold six thousand on Itunes yesterday but opted to buy it tonight instead. I just logged on to Itunes store and it is no longer available. It was there yesterday. I have never purchased an audiobook from another source other than Itunes. What is the easiest way to do this. I like how Itunes loads them on my Ipod and keeps a "bookmark" when I swtich to listen to music. I've never used audible or simply audiobooks. Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they download into multiple mp3s? I am not having much luck. I was excited to listen to David Simon's Homicide until I saw that it was abridged with no unabridged version available. Just to avoid confusion, Itunes did not remove an audiobook I bought and loaded on my Ipod, but an audiobook was available in there store yesterday but not today. Thanks in advance
I started having problems with my Ipod and I am unsure of the best way to remedy the problem. [more inside]
Need advice from desktop productivity nerds, radio nerds, MP3 playlist nerds, and general problem solving nerds. I volunteer at a community FM radio station. Everything we play is a stream from a Winamp playlist (look inside for the reasons for this). We need a piece of software (or a creative solution) that can be automated to jump to a place in a playlist and then schedule itself from there. Very complex details inside. [more inside]
Hi, We just got an Ipod Nano (the latest one) for Christmas and when we first got it out of the box we were able to download music from our computer to the I-Pod. We did it with I-tunes and I remember seeing something that indicated that the I-Pod was being recognized by the I-tunes website. No problems downloading to the I-Pod. But now I'm trying to add some music and the I-Pod is not being recognized. The new songs are in my library (under I-tunes) and they are already paid for. I have Windows Vista. The little white USB cord is not having a problem with charging the I-Pod, but nothing on the computer indicates that the I-Pod is recognized. When I am in the library, I click on DEVICES, and I can see a word that says sync, but sync is not in bold, another words I can't click on it. Any advice? I already turned my computer off and on again, and also took out the USB and put it back in as well. I went to the website and read the manual but there is so much there and I don't see how to do any of the instructions if the I-pod is not recognized. Thanks, Lynnie-the-pooh
Is there any way to buy music from iTunes without installing the iTunes application? [more inside]
Recently, I am finding myself with a significant amount of drive time. I have many audio books I have downloaded from amazon which use the audible proprietary .aax file. They play in iTunes but I need to put them on a jump drive so that my MicroSoft sync system in my car will recognize them and allow me to listen. I could care less about the DRM, sharing or any of that business. I just want to be able to use the files outside of my Mac. They are too long to burn to a CD I have searched the web with no satisfaction. Any answers, oh wise mefi?
Who is this R&B artist I saw in the iTunes new releases less than a week ago but cannot find now? [more inside]
I share a computer with my kids, and our iTunes library has both my music and theirs on it. I also subscribe to iTunes Match, which my kids don't use. I don't want their music to show up on my devices. Is there a way to keep music on iTunes on a Mac without also having it show up in iCloud? I know you can delete music from a computer and keep it in the cloud, but I'd like to do the opposite of that.
I am looking for suggestions around programs that I can use on my PC to listen to my podcast. (it should also download and update my podcast regularly) [more inside]
This is simple. When my phone is in portrait modein the native music app, you get a useful player. But in landscape mode the screen turns into a collection of album covers to choose music. Which stinks. Any way to have the portrait usability in landscape mode?
I have my iTunes on an external 1 TB USB drive for iMac (10.6). It is around 250 GB. Despite following the steps of moving the itl and other files to my computer Itunes folder as layed out nicelly in this link among others (look at user roncron's commments at bottom of page). ITunes is still sluggish when deleting tracks especially. I have 3GB RAM, not using any other item while running iTunes, and Activity Monitor doesn't show any large discrepancies of things running in the background (unless I am looking at it wrong). Maybe my computer is just too old or needs 4 GB of RAM. thanks.
So ever since the new iTunes version came out for iPhone, when you open it up, it starts at the radio screen. Not "Now Playing" or even "Songs." It opens to the thing that doesn't work with my usage plan and I have to change it back. Every. Single. Time. So It's an annoyance. The question is, is there ANY way to change it short of jailbreaking the thing?
Looking for a slick way to update the album artwork for a large (>150gb) music library on a PC. The key here is updating to HD album artwork. My smartphone has a really high res screen and most artwork looks awful on it. What's the easiest, most painless way to do this (for free!)? [more inside]

I currently use approximately four+ computers with all major OS'es (Mac, Windows, Linux-Ubuntu) between work and home. Plus an Ipod Classic for portable music listening. Problem is keeping my music library up to date on all machines, or synced together. If I create a playlist, or change ratings, genre, etc. the results also aren't propagated to the other machines. On Windows and Mac I've been using Itunes but I'm not necessarily tied to it, but it does work on 2 of the 3 OS'es. Any suggestions? There are some previous similar questions, but all look several years old.
I have all this music on my iPhone. But when I go to play it, it has to download it from the cloud first. Although the playlists are there, nothing is actually being stored on the phone. So it takes ages and chews through lots of data when I just want to play a song. How do I get rid of all this cloud nonsense and just store old-fashioned music files on my iPhone? (Relevant: I have iTunes Match switched *off* in Settings -> Music on my iPhone.)
When I burn a CD, some songs that sound fine in iTunes on my computer will inexplicably have between 3-20 seconds of 'silence' at the beginning, thus causing my car's CD player to skip them if I don't fast forward to the actual music...WTF? (do my best to give some Tech Specs inside!) [more inside]
iTunes now streams podcasts from the cloud, and as far as I can tell no longer provides the capacity to download the mp3 podcast files onto my iMac. [more inside]
I have an iphone and an ipad which I use daily. Due to work policies, my data is setup via Outlook (not Exchange) and synced via iTunes to both devices. I use iCloud to maintain mirrored info for websites, pictures, etc but NOT contacts. I'm getting tired of having to plug both devices in to sync them to the same data. Is there anyway to use iTunes to sync to my phone and then use iCloud to maintain data integrity across to the ipad? Or will this end up giving me duplicates in my Outlook contacts?
I received a class action notice at my home re: an iTunes settlement. It had my maiden name on it. This was a couple of years after I changed the name on my account (maiden to married name). It was about six months after I changed the billing address, so iTunes clearly updated my billing address but not my name. How do I change this? Correct name is showing up in iTunes, but again, it doesn't appear to have been updated in whatever the "real" database is. Sounds like a silly question but I'd really like to have all areas reflect my married name.
I have an ubuntu powered fileserver that I primarily use as a media server these days. There are many files on the machine that (for various reasons) I no longer have a license to play.* What is the best way to scan through all the songs in my library (about 30k) and filter out those that will not play given that they do not all have an exclusive filetype? *Example: a song that was bought by a roommate with a license shared through iTunes that is no longer shared.
I want to leave iTunes randomly shuffling through a given playlist for as long as possible so I don't have to futz with it, but I also want to actually hear *all* the tracks in the list, not just those that the random shuffle always seems to favor. How many/few tracks should I put in a playlist? [more inside]

Actually, I'm kind of not loving anything in iOS 7. Perhaps it is the shock of the new. Or just realy ugly design. Anyway, that is not my problem. My specific issue is that iTunes is now apparently arranging my podcast feed at random, rather than alphabetically or any other sensible system. Looking at online forums, there doesn't seem to be a way to fix this. Is there? Or, failing that, is there another podcast app that would work better for me?
Can't believe I've had such trouble finding a set of larger 'big button' controls for itunes. I'm using iDisplay and an Android tablet to declutter my screen, but the lowest-resolution option for the tablet in iDisplay still makes things [and in particular the iTunes mini player] unusably small when dragged onto the tablet screen. I'd like to be able to play my 30+GB iTunes music library in the living room, without needing a computer, and without spending more than around $250. I don't have a receiver, speakers or an iPod without enough capacity to hold my full library, though I do use iTunes Match. What are some good options for this? [more inside]
I lost my iTunes installation in a hard drive crash. I have a backup from many months ago. I have an iPad and iPhone that have never been synced to iTunes because I got them since the hard drive failure. I'd like to re-install iTunes from the backup and sync my iPad and iPhone to the re-installed iTunes without losing any data or re-installing apps. How would I do that? [more inside]
Better podcast handler/podcatcher wanted. My current setup is iPhone 4S 32GB / Windows 7 / iTunes - I have been using iTunes since my first iPhone and I'm ready to switch. I am an avid podcast listener and this is where iTunes and I have come to a parting of the ways. [more inside]
Does iOS 7 (beta) sync to iTunes 10.7 or will iTunes 11.0.x be required? I have held back on upgrading iTunes past 10.7, but I am wondering if I'll be forced to upgrade to 11.0.x once iOS 7 is released. I sync via USB on a Mac with 10.6.8. I'm not inserted in WiFi sync and don't use iCloud.

I sold someone an iPhone 3G after I dropped it two stories, fully disclosing the damage as far as I could tell; destroyed glass, a big chunk missing out of the back, non functioning power button, and that the antenna was likely broken since it would not connect to a carrier/network. It was also clear from the description that this was being sold as "for parts, not working." Buyer is claiming they are unable to activate the phone in iTunes, which says "there is a problem with your iPhone." Is this to be expected, given the description above? Can you help me say how, specifically this is to be expected given the condition described?
