Is there an application that runs on iOS, or that runs on Ubuntu and has an iOS client, that will allow me to manage (as oppose to merely play) my digital music collection? I need to be able to import new files I have ripped, edit tags, and edit file/folder structure from my iPad due to carpal tunnel syndrome. [more inside]

I have an iPhone5 and an original iPad, which I back up to my PC (running iTunes on Windows XP). However, now when I plug in either device to the PC and start iTunes, all the data is listed as "Other" (in an orange bar across the bottom of the window). Further, when I click "Back Up Now" the sync begins, then stops after a second or two with no error message. Can I recover from this without losing my data? [more inside]

I have 300gb of music, a house, several Mac laptops, a Mac G5, a router, two iphones, an ipad, and several external HDs where the music is stored. I would like to be able to play music anywhere in my house, control it wirelessly without the laptops and update libraries as well as all my devices with whatever I like anywhere in the house, without having to drag out the external USB HD to plug into various laptops like I do now. I recently bought The Twilight Zone Season 2 box set on DVD. I'm wondering how to turn the set of DVDs into a nice TV show series in iTunes complete with episode titles and other information about each episode. I've tried using Handbrake, but all of the DVD chapters are of the same length and it looks really confusing. I have an iPad and would like it to look like other TV show seasons do that are purchased from the iTunes store. Anything super automated and created for this purpose?
