Help me break this self-destructive cycle of insecurity and clinginess

I am a very insecure person (who is working on it, in therapy/in recovery/rocking it). I get in these head spaces where I feel crippling insecure, especially with my boyfriend. I want verbal validation from him, but my asking for it makes him feel pressured. When he feels pressured, he gets distant, and then I feel even more insecure. We both know this is happening. What tricks can we use to make it stop before it gets out of hand? [more inside]

Why do you make me so mad?

There is someone in my circle of friends who I dislike, and recently I have become increasingly preoccupied by that dislike, to the point where it's actually making me uncomfortable. What's going on here? How do I cut this out? [more inside]

The thing that I hate about you is everything.

How do you dial it back when you've gotten to the point where you seem to be permanently, irrationally annoyed with someone? Imagine that this is a person who you can't avoid completely - a coworker, roommate, in-law, something like that. [more inside]

Crap emails from a dude and not even the one I dated

My long and forgotten ex boyfriend's best friend continues to torment me years after the relationship ended. He works in the same small industry and his passive-agressive actions just make me see red. What else can I do to take the high road and not let this get to me until I can cut ties completely? Need help coping with multiple miscarriage

Help me get over my miscarriages. I know logically that there's nothing I did that made them happen, but I can't seem to shake the feeling that a) I caused them through bad thoughts or actions, and b) that this negativity means that even if we do conceive again, I'm going to lose the next one as well because I can't make those thoughts go away. Should a 4 year old with a new cast be allowed in gym class?

One of my 4-year old students broke his arm on Saturday, and is now in a cast. The parents, and school directors, are encouraging him to still come to gym class (which I teach), and play soccer and run around. Am I alone in thinking this is a bad idea? [more inside]

I know I'm a good person, so why do I tell myself I'm not?

I've had two events, both of which happened years ago, in which there was a misunderstanding that caused someone else to think I'm a bad person and/or had bad intentions. Even though I know what was going on, I keep telling myself I'm a bad person because of them. I only think of them every few months or so, but for some reason I'm feeling worse as time goes on. Advice on dealing with a mental health issue

I'm generally a pretty nervous person. Lately (over the last two months), it's become worse. I jump whenever someone enters the room. I'm quite stressed about everyday things (a disagreement, a social event, my future), and nearly every day my stomach or chest or shoulders ache from these worries. I recognise that my response to this is overblown and irrational, and that maybe I need to seek medical attention. But that's the problem. Can you help me gather the courage to see a doctor?
