My iPod/iTunes is completely out of control. I have 8,000+ songs, and they are minimally rated. My default rating when I add tracks is 4 and I downgrade tracks if I don’t want them to come up in shuffle, which runs off a playlist that’s “all songs rated 4 or higher.” This just ain’t cutting it and I find myself skipping more songs than I listen to.

Itunes smart playlists on an ipod are apparently quite stupid: A smart playlist that will list by date added to the ipod, not the entire itunes library?

I have two iPods - a 60 GB for general use and a shuffle for exercise. I want to create playlists that delete songs I skip on the shuffle, but not songs I skip from the 60 or in iTunes.

Yet Another iPod Question: I want to have a smart playlist that sorts the music on my iPod. But if I create a smart playlist and drag it onto the iPod playlist, it adds all the music from my entire library that fits that smart playlist.

iPodFilter: Why can't you easily add the currently playing song to the
On-The-Go list? From the Now Playing screen it should be possible to add the currently playing song directly to the On-The-Go playlist. It seems that I can only add songs to the On-The-Go list by surfing out to the songname in the current playlist and then holding Select on the songname to add it to the list. I would like to put my iPod on song shuffle and add songs as they randomly play. Impossible? [MI]
