I've got an old Verizon iPhone I would dearly love to keep as long as possible, because once I give it up for a newer one I lose my unlimited data plan. (Grumble! Rant!). [more inside]

Okay, i need some advice on what is my best move.
My new company just gave me a new iphone 5s (verizon) 64 gb. I had a iphone 5 (at&t) 64 gb. right after i got my new phone, i dropped my old (at&t) phone & the screen shattered. But thanks to applecare, i got a brand new one for only $50. (Go me!).
Okay... my daughter has a 32gb iphone 4 with a slight crack at the bottom right of the screen... generally it operates kinda slow & she is having some problems with her home button (we had her screen replaced before)
My son has a 16 gb iphone 4 ... his home button also isn't working great... (also, the screen has been replaced before).
That's the summary of our situation....
So my question is... (seeing how i'm good with my new company phone) ... what is my best move to both upgrade both kid's phone & to maybe bank some money?

My parents and I are about to get iphones (and smartphones!) for the first time. We're trying to choose between the 4s and the 5. I've heard that the 5 models tend to eat through data even when the user isn't meaning to use data. Can anyone confirm, deny, or otherwise talk about this problem? [more inside]

I know about the AT&T device unlock form
, but is there a reliable way to unlock an iPhone 4 myself without waiting for AT&T to respond? Although it is an AT&T phone, it has been a few years since we've been AT&T customers, so the PIN I entered in the form may not be correct, and this is a time-sensitive matter. [more inside]

I've had an iPhone 4 for a couple of years now. It's seen better days; the home button works only half the time, etc. My fiance recently got his first, a 4S, and the difference between it and the 4 is amaaaaazing. I am sorely tempted to upgrade to that for a hundred bucks, rather than wait for the new 5's to come out (esp since there's no guarantee now that the original 5 will come down in price). I've been using this case
for my iPhone 4 for about a year now. Here's what I like about it: it doesn't cover the screen; it doesn't compromise the camera lens or flash; it is a smooth material that doesn't snag on my pocket (unlike, say, rubber); and most importantly, it has slots for credit cards that are very easily accessible. Here's what I don't like about it: all of the available colors are boring or ugly. Is there an iPhone 4 case out there that satisfies everything I love about this one but is more aesthetically interesting? At this point I would even consider different solid colors more interesting. (The one thing I am not
willing to compromise on is card slots, so please don't recommend that. I know I'm being a brat.)

Are there any iPhone 4 cases that feature Han Solo frozen in carbonite that are sculpted/3d, and not printed?
The only one I've managed to find is this

I live in London and will soon be travelling to Melbourne, Australia. I have an iPhone 4 and a contract with Three UK; this week I paid Three fifteen quid to unlock my phone so that I can use a local sim when I'm abroad.
Three sent me a text telling me my unlock request has been processed, and to finish the unlocking process I need to insert a non-Three sim card and connect the device to iTunes. I don't have another sim card and am not sure where I can get one before I catch my plane on Saturday. Help? [more inside]

I have an iPhone 4. It is not jail broken or anything and I have no plans to do so. Is the upgrade to ios6 worth it? I understand that applemaps is pretty awful, and I'm not sure if the rest of ios6 is worth the loss of google maps. If you have ios6, what else does it do? [more inside]

Last night, while playing with Find My iPhone, I erased my wife's iPhone. That's right. I erased my wife's iPhone.
Apparently, it wasn't backing up to iCloud. Unless I have a good backup on her laptop via iTunes, I am screwed, right? [more inside]

I'm looking to replace the back glass panel of my iPhone 4. The options seem to be cheap ($2-$10) options from
Amazon, or $80 from iFixIt.
I'm mostly interested in the quality of the glass covering the lens. Mine is tremendously scratched, rendering my camera useless. I'd prefer to not pay $80, but I also don't trust the $2 knock-offs from Amazon. I've heard that the cheap ones have very crappy lens coverings - essentially just plastic wrap, not clear glass at all. Any advice on getting a quality rear backing at a decent price?

I don't want any access to email when I am on vacation this year. However, I do need cellphone access. I am currently using an AT&T iPhone 4. Can use the iPhone 4 micro sim card (with an adapter) in a GoPhone? Barring that, what is the most featureless AT&T phone I can put my iPhone 4 sim in (including ones I can buy used). Thanks!

iPad owners: I'm considering getting an iPad 2. I currently own an iPhone 4, though, and I'm worried that using it is going to be like using an iPhone 3G—the screens on those, which once seemed fine to me, now seem ridiculously grainy. Yes, I know I'm spoiled. But will this mess with my enjoyment of the device? Or is stuff/text generally larger on iPad apps, such that it won't be as noticeable?

I have to shoot a quick, five-minute video that's basically a vlog: just me talking into the camera. To film it, I can use either a built-in iSight camera on a 2008 pre-unibody MacBook Pro, or an iPhone 4. Which one would be the better choice? Yeah, I'm aware it's not going to look cinematic with either one, but I want to look as decent as I can within reason. [more inside]

I want an iPhone app that will allow me to get back to where I've been using the GPS, Compass and (optionally) mapping software. Essentially, I would bookmark places I want to return to. Then, to get back to them, I can just open the app, hit the bookmark and it tells me which direction to travel and how far to go. [more inside]

My wife wants to get an iPhone, and is currently on Verizon. I already have one. What's the best route for us to go? If she gets an iPhone4, can I take it and give her the 3GS just by swapping the SIM cards? What is your experience with AT&Ts family plans, or are we better off having separate accts? Does ordering the phone online make anything more difficult? [more inside]

I thought is was the same in terms of price, but a friend recently told me the discount was larger at the AT&T store. Thanks for the help!
