I think the time has come for me to jump the iPhone ship. The announcement of the Google version of the Galaxy S4 at I/O was the clincher. But I am not 100% sold on the idea, mainly because the S4 is an ugly brute, but also because I fear for the apps and innovation I will miss. I am getting a Tablet for work, either a Nexus 10 or an iPad. I'm pretty well versed on the features and drawbacks for both, and I feel like if my other devices were either all Apple or all Google/Windows I'd make the choice based on matching my current device operating system ecosystem. This has happened twice now, and it is freaky. Google chrome on the iMac I use in my office at work (at a university) will have usernames and passwords for people who have never been in my office ever. The first time it happened it was my father's email, and the second time it was my stepmother's. Why would chrome be filling in these odd emails when it doesn't even save my own login information after closing the browser window? [more inside]

I have a MacBook Pro with all software updated. I have been using Google Chrome as my browser for the last year or so. I also have Google Chrome installed on my Iphone 4s, but rarely use it. For the first 6-7 month, my bookmarks synced fine between the devices and my Google accounts. About 2-3 months ago, I have started to notice that bookmarks I have deleted have started to show up in Chrome again, sometimes multiple times... I delete the unwanted bookmarks again, and they re-appear several days later. I have 'googled' my problem and it seems many people have/are experiencing this issue... [more inside]

In short: how do I sync all my contacts between Mac OS X Address Book, iOS, iCloud.com, and Gmail.com? Not as short: In olden days, I used the Address Book app on my Mac to store all my contacts. Everything in there would sync to MobileMe (and by extension, iPhone, iPad and me.com) and Google (for Gmail). After iCloud was released in October, turning on contact syncing between Address Book and iCloud resulted in a message that said if iCloud contact syncing is turned on Google syncing must be turned off. Googling tells me that lots of people are having this problem, but I'm not finding a solution within all the noise. What am I missing? Any settings to change? Any software? Thanks in advance.

what sort of device can I buy to show my google tasks next to a corkboard, so I see them on my way out the door? do any photo frames do wireless sync? my first thought was a cheap old itouch, but the screen is tiny, and it does more than I need. low power use would also be a plus (i.e. not a laptop or cheap desktop with wall mounted monitor, which I also thought of - I do have an extra 17" sitting around) I could consider switching to another tasks app if required for the best solution, though I do enjoy gtasks in gmail and calendar.
