I'm listening to my 10-year-old daughter use two old iPhones (A and B) to record herself in four-part harmony. She records on A, then plays that while singing the second part and recording on B, then plays that on B while singing the third part and recording on A again. Surely this can be done on a single iPad, with better fidelity. [more inside]
Can you recommend an app for iPad that will be useful both as an art portfolio and a sort of book creator? I'm trying to figure out a way to display small works of art with their short individual (fictional) backstories. So, sort of a picture book. Sort of an art gallery. [more inside]
All the reader apps I've found don't have pinterest support, and the pinterest app browser is a super cumbersome way to use google reader, as is safari for ipad. The only workaround I've found is to copy the web address within the RSS feed of any post I want to pin, then paste that address in either the pinterest app or safari, then pin it, rendering ipad virtually useless for reading blogs. There has to be a better way, right? [more inside]
Where can one play good online poker with real players (or a program w/*really* good AI with weaknesses and styles)? Not for cash - just for practice. Ipad app or website fine. *Not* just Texas Hold'em/7 card stud, but finishing off the HORSE class and beyond (Hi/Lo Omaha, Hi/Lo 7 card stud, Razz). Don't want scummy spyware or to have to give credit card info. [more inside]
I've looked on the iTunes store for a glycemic index iPad app and the five or six I looked through all got horrible reviews. Do you use a GI app, and if so, which do you like? Both paid and free are fine. I'd also be open to other food tracking apps if they are really great. It should be compatible with a low carb / paleo type diet. Thanks.
