Where can I find a list of investor reporting websites for various banks? Not just general investor relations, but places with searchable asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities information.

I've got a big idea that I think could go far, extending social networking in a useful (and Meta-) sort of way. I've brought it to a few people who are well-versed in the internet and social media and all of them think it is an awesome concept.

I recently discovered that I am a shareholder of a UK listed company, Anglo Asian Mining Company. I base this discovery on my recent receipt of proxy materials and notice of the annual shareholders meeting, which was held today.
I realize the best way to retrieve or have replaced shares of stock in the United States is to contact the investor relations or financial department.
This seems like a daunting challenge. Is this the best/only way for me to retrieve whatever number of shares I have in the UK?

My company has been attracted the attention of several larger companies who wish to invest in us in exchange for a position on the board and an equity stake in the company. We're a small, privately held group, and have no clue what this means for us. Obviously, we need to get at attorney involved in this process, but I'm the kind of guy who wants to know what to expect out of deals like this.

Currency hedging for the (very) small investor. The re-elected Bush admin's economic and fiscal policies have me thinking the dollar will be headed down. What are people's experiences/recommendations on moving assets to non-US currencies? Should I use a traditional bank, or are there mutual fund houses that offer several different denominations of money market funds I can allocate between?

So Lucent got fined yesterday, to the tune of mamny millions of dollars, byt the SEC for the criminal euphemism of
Account Irregularities.
Like other high profile SEC investigations, why do they always mention the fine, but never discuss where the funds go?
Are they used to offset the defrauded investor's losses? Or does the gov't turn the investor's loss into it's gain by keeping the fine for its own purposes?
