I'm completing a preliminary job interview form, and one of the questions asked is to describe the funniest situation that's ever happened at work. I know a lot of the tricks of these type of questions (when asked about your weaknesses, also explain how you compensate; when asked about your worst boss, briefly explain how you successfully managed the situation; etc.), but this one is stumping me.

I just had a job interview I wasn't thrilled about. In a fluster, I sent my writing samples with a two sentence thank you note. I'd like to salvage the flubbed interview if I can. Should I mail a lengthier thank you letter, or just let it go?

Following from this
question, how do you approach and answer the classic interview questions? I am looking for specific examples / tactics around questions like: Tell me about yourself? How do you deal with ambiguity? How did you manage a difficult personality? How do you deal with competing priorities? How do you influence people? Any of the examples in the aforementioned thread are fair game. I am interested in both your specific answers but also your general approach / goal in answering the question. Personal anecdotes a plus!

In a whirlwind of a week and a half, I submitted a resume, got a phone interview, and a job interview scheduled for Monday so have been cramming. My question though is on handling outcome. I am so anxious that I need to somehow convince myself that it doesn't matter what happens. There are pros and cons for uprooting if I get the job and the same if I stay at my current job. Pay is the same, just be starting over, but would be near my family. Any Jedi mind tricks when things are uncertain?

I had a phone interview for an entry level position at a small tech startup, but the interviewer is about forty minutes late with no signs of appearing. How do I respond? Possibly relevant: When I confirmed the interview, I forgot to "Reply All" and didn't CC it to two people. Because of this, my interviewer might have missed my confirmation or something.

I work for a services solution company. Recently, I've been interviewing heavily within that company at other units/accounts that are not my own. The other day, I had an excellent interview with a District Manager and she made many comments about me being exactly what they were looking for. Since then, I received an email from her saying that she had not selected me for that position, however, there is another position within her district she would like me to apply for.

I want to be a high school French teacher, but at twenty years old I still have the height, weight, and voice of a twelve-year-old. I'm afraid these physical attributes will make it nearly impossible for me to be hired and taken seriously as a high school teacher. Is this a legitimate concern that should cause me to rethink my goals?
