I applied to this job online by sending my resume, and after I was contacted by the HR lady, I told her that I had an updated version of my resume and so I sent it to her. A few days later, I then realized that I actually sent a wrong copy of my resume, which leaves off some of my education.
It also erroneously outlined a job function that I did not actually do. The reason why it is wrong is because I didn't know how to word it precisely at first, but after a second draft (the correct version) I came up with a better description of what I did.
So, do you guys think it will be fine if I email her the correct version of my resume and explain that I inadvertently sent her the wrong version? Or will it look bad? The interview is already set up by the way.
Thanks.

I am sitting-in on job interviews for a new position in our department. I can ask additional questions our boss doesn’t pose and I’m being asked for my input. This is a great opportunity, but there is one problem. One job candidate is an acquaintance and former co-worker of a former colleague of mine. Over the years, I have heard a good deal of third-party gossip about this individual regarding his integrity, his chauvinistic attitudes and several other very negative attributes.

I am a designer/art director and I've been reading that physical portfolios aren't dead just yet. How can I make a good impression the next time I'm in a job interview? Are there good resources for how to make one (materials, size, number of pages, ..)? Do I include a printed resume in there as well? Does it have to be a physical replica of my online website?

I had a job interview on Friday for a position I'm very excited about. I got the interview after speaking to a woman from this company at a job fair, who passed along my resume and promised to put in a good word for me since my advisor (who knows her professionally) spoke to her and vouched for me after I mentioned meeting her at the fair. I want to send her a thank you email but I could use some assistance on the details.

I just had my first phone interview for a prospective software engineering job, which was a ten minute phone call with an in-house recruiter. I wasn't expecting the topic of salary to come up this early in the process, which I grant was maybe naïve, but they asked me and I gave a lowball offer. Now I'm wondering whether I've screwed myself here.

I have a tricky job-application scenario: basically, I can do all the requirements that were
advertised, but I have excellent reason to believe they expect the person in the position to semi-regularly do something my health prevents me from doing at all. How do I handle this in the application/resume process?

I have an upcoming job interview for a fairly sales-oriented position in business. Putting aside that I'm not sure I want the position yet and that in my eyes it counts against the company that they put stock in this sort of thing, the company is about to send me a personality test which they use as a strong hiring indicator. I would prefer to ace the test, whatever that means, and have my actual interview and position discussion determine hiring. How should I go about answering a test that I don't believe will be reflective of my personality?

I am in the application process for a really awesome job, and I just found out I have my second phone interview on Monday afternoon. Yay! It's a producing job at a start up web content company, and based on the first call, they're going to want to hire someone who can move data from cameras (sounds like I would be mostly working with DSLRs) into Final Cut Pro and prepare it for editing. I currently work in TV, where this job belongs to the assistant editors, and I don't even know how to begin to figure out this process. Please give me some weekend reading material to help me figure out if this is something I could quickly learn how to do. Thank you!

I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon. I've got my suit all ready. The problem is that I had surgery recently and I'm in a full leg brace and crutches. Should I put the brace over my pants or under them? I don't know even know if the brace will actually fit under the pants, though; it's pretty bulky with a huge metal hinge and several thick velcro straps. Will wearing it on the outside of dress trousers look ridiculous?

First of all, let me say I am thankful for getting a phone interview offer....read on and apologies for the ramble and poor writing style here. Please bear with me here for a bit. I had a job interview in a city I had hoped to move back to two weeks ago, and didn't get it. Like most others applicants, I prepared very well and studied, talked to myself, etc. so, it is what it is. I desire to get back to this place where my wife's family and my friends are and where I have lived for 15 years (Indianapolis). I've been extremely stressed out, have anxiety problems but have meds to help.
