Stay or go: Interview Edition

I applied for a lateral transfer, but would miss significant aspects of my existing job if I took it. I waffled over email after being offered an interview, first declining due to personal reasons and then saying the personal issue was resolved. I'm having trouble parsing what would make me happiest and what professional ramifications would be for either choice (in particular, how insane I look now and/or will look if I back out again now or after the interview.) Thank you in advance and I really appreciate any help I can get. [more inside]

Phone interview on vacation...sounds good but please read.

First of all, let me say I am thankful for getting a phone interview offer....read on and apologies for the ramble and poor writing style here. Please bear with me here for a bit. I had a job interview in a city I had hoped to move back to two weeks ago, and didn't get it. Like most others applicants, I prepared very well and studied, talked to myself, etc. so, it is what it is. I desire to get back to this place where my wife's family and my friends are and where I have lived for 15 years (Indianapolis). I've been extremely stressed out, have anxiety problems but have meds to help. [more inside]

Getting mental balance for job interview/outcome

In a whirlwind of a week and a half, I submitted a resume, got a phone interview, and a job interview scheduled for Monday so have been cramming. My question though is on handling outcome. I am so anxious that I need to somehow convince myself that it doesn't matter what happens. There are pros and cons for uprooting if I get the job and the same if I stay at my current job. Pay is the same, just be starting over, but would be near my family. Any Jedi mind tricks when things are uncertain?
