What are the best scholarly books and articles in any field that would bear on how you might rapidly assess a person and predict aspects of his or her behavior based on various easily (not *necessarily* instantly) ascertainable characteristics (demographic information, body language, speaking patterns, ethnicity, education, etc.)? Can people be trained to better withstand or recover faster from sexual assault? I'm thinking specifically of people being sent into situations where being sexually assaulted is a high risk (e.g. law-enforcement undercover in the sex-trade, humanitarian aid workers in combat zones, soldiers)... I haven't been on a plane since 2000 (before a certain terrorist attack) and I have a trip next week so is there anything i really need to know? Can I bring food, pencils, fingernail files, etc. onboard with me? Should i be careful what i say out loud? Are people gonna stop me wherever I go?
