A couple months ago I downloaded an application that worked with google (and maybe other search sites, I don't use them so I'm not sure) that would check sites once you had completed a search. Anyone know what I'm talking about and how to find it again?

Bloglines isn't showing my feeds anymore! I'm using the most updated version of Firefox, and haven't installed any new extensions, but my "feeds" tab no longer shows any feeds! This started happening last night. It shows the "Add, Edit, Clippings" and the "Extras" down below - but no actual feeds.
I double checked in the "Edit" option to make sure my feeds were there. I disabled all my extensions. I updated Java. I even searched MeFi and the painfully slow Bloglines forum, but can't seem to figure out why my feeds are missing all of a sudden. I checked in Internet Explorer, and Bloglines is working - I even checked it on my wife's computer running Firefox, and my feed show up. What could possibly be wrong on my machine that their feed tree doesn't show up on my Firefox?

Re-installed Windows XP on my old laptop (Sony PCG-SRX87). Let it run through all the updates. Now neither IE nor Firefox will show CSS background images.

I'm using FireFox 1.07 for Windows XP. Previously, when I typed "dict [word]" into the address bar, FireFox would take me to the dictionary.com definition for [word]. Now typing in the same command just takes me to the first result of a Google search for "dict [word]," the same as if I typed anything into the address bar. Recently all my Firefox bookmarks disappeared as well. I haven't updated Firefox or changed anything that I know of. What happened, and how do I restore the old functionality?

Is there a firefox extension or an easy to use program that can block specific websites? While I don't normally have a problem, I've been noticing that I get on Mefi and basically don't get off. If I don't get on, that would probably solve the problem. The best and easiest way I can think of doing that, is a program. So: suggestions?

Why does Firefox insist on loading pages with Unicode character coding, when I prefer Western character coding? The former turns high-ASCII characters like ยง into question marks; the latter displays these normally. Does this happen to anyone else, and can I fix it?

Ok, I love Firefox. I have been using it since it came out. The question I have is that every now and then I will go to load a page and it says Cannot Resolve Host. Yet if I open it in IE it loads perfectly fine. Now this wouldn't be that big of a deal if it happened seldomly, however this happens after about 5 minutes of heavy website browsing. All of a sudden NO domain can be reached until I fire up IE first.
I do not have this problem with IE, nor do I get this problem on my mac with Safari or IE Mac. My question is, Did I screw up a setting somewhere in Firefox that it just hangs? Does anyone else suffer from this same problem? And is there a solution?
