I recall vivid fragments of a short film that used to be shown as filler on Showtime or Cinemax during the mid 80s (?), around the same time they would show the evolution segment
of Allegro non troppo
. It was drawn in a minimalist wiggly thickly inked style. The protagonist was a very thin guy in a ridiculously broad suit of armor. He escapes the "boss battle" by slipping out the back of his armor. The princess runs to hug the empty suit of armor and plummets off a cliff. I recall it as being mostly white backgrounds and the transitions were ink splotches. Dialogue was minimal or non-existent. Can you name this short?

I have a document (parchment) that is going to be signed by many of my friends and family which will then be framed and displayed in our house. I would like to know if there is a specific ink that I should use that is especially resistant to fading over time and exposure to light. [more inside]

A friend of mine wants to get another tattoo, and the phrase he's picked to get inked is this: "I am the angel of death, not mercy." He would like for the ink to be in Latin, so obviously he wants to make sure the translation is spot-on.
Any Latin scholars able to help with this? Thank you so much!

I'm a doodler that likes to make abstract drawings. I'm interested in actually spending some time "doodling with purpose" with an eye toward making something(s), eventually, that might be worth hanging, framed on my wall.
I primarily do black ink on white paper. What kind of ink/pens should I be using? What kind of paper?

We're trying to optimize our home printing. We don't print an enormous amount, but we want to print in color and to be able to print in moderately high quality.
You've already solved this problem and put some thought into minimizing cartridge expense: what printer do you use? how often do you replace the ink? do you refill the cartridges at a store or buy new ones from the OEM?
(Bonus points if you've solved this problem for the HP 8600.) [more inside]

Tablet or Digitizer that works responsively with MS OneNote v2007 or 2010? Heading to grad school in the fall. My memory recall is much better when taking notes by hand and besides I have some math classes that will cover expressions that don't lend themselves to typing on a keyboard. Years ago had a fujitsu convertible laptop provided by a past employer that worked great when in tablet mode for digitizing handwriting using the stylus but I'm not so keen on purchasing one now as I don't want to outlay that much cash. I could either go for a digitizer - something like the WaCom Bamboo (but NOT the WaCom bamboo as its got known issues with OneNote) or even a full tablet that can do inking and supports OneNote. It seems like the new rage of tablets that Apple ushered in don't do much with digital ink (its all touchy feely touch screens now) and are better suited for consuming content then creating it. Your experience and advice? Difficulty: Budget under $700

How can I clear a recalcitrant cartridge jam on an HP C4580 printer? I've gone through the steps on the printer and the further support on the HP website
to no avail. I still have the error message flashing on the printer, and it will not print anything, not even the self-test report. I need a working printer, and this is driving me crazy! Any suggestions? Help?

What experience do you have with getting plates made in Canada?
Do you use Polymer plates?
Getting die's made?
Any information above and beyond is much appreciated.
