I'm a health hazard to my new cubicle-mate.

I've been at my job for less than a month, and today as I was rounding a blind corner into my cubicle I collided with my co-worker who works right next to me. He slammed his shoulder into the cubicle, and even though he brushed it off as nothing, I am 99.9% sure that he will wake up with a bruise tomorrow morning. He's very friendly, but we're both so engrossed in our work that we haven't had a chance to really get to know one another. I've already apologized twice, but what can I do or say to make things less awkward?

Is it sane to return to the sport which snapped my achilles tendon?

In 2001 I snapped an achilles tendon whilst playing squash. Result: a repair op, 10 weeks in plaster, a lot of physio and giving up the game I'd played and loved for over twenty years. Now I'm pining for it like a maniac. Does anyone have any experience of returning to the game (or a similarly joint-thrashing one) after this injury? It should be noted that I'm 46 years old. Still reasonably fit but obviously no spring chicken. [more inside]

QB Injuries

NotSportsFilter: I've trained as a quarterback for many years, just like half the population. Several years ago, I started playing games against real opponents. A trend I've been noticing, especially with the last few serious opponents: I'm highly successful at making completions, but my throwing arm gets scuffed up. I'm pretty sure it's from friction while I'm trying to complete the pass. But the point is, whether I'm going for a short pass, a touchdown or setting up a field goal, my arm is always in a bit of pain. Especially the next day. My question: Is there a way to let my arm heal while still getting game? [more inside]
