I've been at my job for less than a month, and today as I was rounding a blind corner into my cubicle I collided with my co-worker who works right next to me. He slammed his shoulder into the cubicle, and even though he brushed it off as nothing, I am 99.9% sure that he will wake up with a bruise tomorrow morning. He's very friendly, but we're both so engrossed in our work that we haven't had a chance to really get to know one another. I've already apologized twice, but what can I do or say to make things less awkward?

I have a friend here in New York who has a major personal injury case starting very soon dealing with his child. Involved is a major chain, and some serious plastic surgery. Is there a database to check out some of the lawyers who are in contact with my friend - about their history, wins / losses, etc?

Soccer Injuries: People get injured all the time playing indoor soccer ... minor stuff, like sprains and heavy bruising and the like. What kind of first aid should we perform on this kind of injury, what kind of stuff should I keep in my soccer bag for when *I* get hurt like this, and when is it time to send someone to the ER?

In 2001 I snapped an achilles tendon whilst playing squash. Result: a repair op, 10 weeks in plaster, a lot of physio and giving up the game I'd played and loved for over twenty years. Now I'm pining for it like a maniac. Does anyone have any experience of returning to the game (or a similarly joint-thrashing one) after this injury? It should be noted that I'm 46 years old. Still reasonably fit but obviously no spring chicken.

about three hours ago i got some plywood dust/splinters in my eye. I washed out my eye and put in a bunch of eye drops. My eye still hurts, which I guess is to be expected, but more disturbingly, the pupil in the aggravated eye is dilating more than the other one. any advice or suggestions?

NotSportsFilter: I've trained as a quarterback for many years, just like half the population. Several years ago, I started playing games against real opponents. A trend I've been noticing, especially with the last few serious opponents: I'm highly successful at making completions, but my throwing arm gets scuffed up. I'm pretty sure it's from friction while I'm trying to complete the pass. But the point is, whether I'm going for a short pass, a touchdown or setting up a field goal, my arm is always in a bit of pain. Especially the next day. My question: Is there a way to let my arm heal while still getting game?
