About a 10 days ago I tweaked my knee while running. It feels fine now. How long should I wait before I go back to running?

I'm training for a marathon that is taking place in just over 5 weeks. I haven't been able to run for 2 weeks due to illness and injuries. I took a week off to nurse some hip bursitis and then I came down with a flu like bug. The longest training run I've done so far has been 14 miles, and that was two weeks ago. This weekend, I am supposed to do 18 miles. To you runners out there - what do you think the best way is for me to get back on track and finish the race successfully over the next 5 weeks? My pace is around 11 minutes/mile.

I've taken up walking on a treadmill lately, and as I ramp up the intensity I seem to be bruising one small spot on one foot. I'm not sure what I'm doing to cause it. It's not a shoe issue. I get this whether I'm wearing regular running shoes or my Vibrams.

RunningInjuryFilter: Doing couch to 5k. On week 7 (25 minutes running 3 times a week). Yey! After doing a weighted squat incorrectly a couple of weeks ago (too much weight on balls of feet), have a soreness/twinge/ache on my left front lower leg (about where shin splits would be). This gets better as I exercise and warm up, but it also hasn't gone away. Do I need to take a week off? Will this get better or worse if I ignore it? Will I hinder my progress?

I started running 2 - 3 weeks ago and I run around 3 miles every second day. So for the past week, I've had this sort of "pain" or somekind of uncomfortable feeling above my knee. The "pain" is not in the knee itself, but maybe in muscle above it? When I'm laying in bed or sitting it feels the same way. It doesn't hurt, but its just a little bit uncomfortable. Its kinda like a feeling of someone is squeezing a muscle just above my knee.
Should I be worried and go to a doctor or is this normal, when you havnt done any exercise for 8 years and just started? I'm 22 and male btw.

I'm addicted to running. I've injured myself. I'm forcing myself to take a couple days off. How do I speed up healing--because come hell or high water I'm going to be back at it on Monday (provided I can restrain myself).
