Hello, AskMefi, let's talk about my ears (again). I am currently in the midst of a severe ear infection. People keep telling me to go to the ER, but I'm not sure what that would accomplish.

My two right wisdom teeth are infected and abscessed. I'm on 500mg of Amoxicillin three times a day. Should I wait until the infection clears before getting them extracted?

If copper is so effective at destroying bacteria, including antibiotic resistant organisms and viruses, why don't we see it used as a standard material in settings like hospitals, schools, public transportation etc?

"Go to the emergency room?" filter. My friend got scratched on the neck by a nail, or maybe by the edge of a board. The two cuts are very superficial. We immediately washed it and soaked it with rubbing alcohol. Now, an hour or two later, a red circle surrounds the area. Is this emergency-room material?

What are the common form of Computer Virus spread these days? I remeber back in the day it was all about Word macros, then Outlook attachmets auto-running, but therse days is it all Internet Browser Exploits? How does your computer get infected these days? Can you get a virus just by visiting a webpage (but not running any aps / agreeing to intall anything)?
