I'm currently looking for a job in the Vancouver or Victoria BC areas, and I'd like some suggestions on companies that do the kinds of things I'm looking for. I'm a Mechanical Engineering Technologist trained at BCIT, with all my post-grad work experience in manufacturing. I'm looking to move my career into a design focused job that has elements of Mechanical and Industrial design. Job classifieds have been pretty meagre, and I'd like to take a proactive approach instead of waiting for something great to come along. [more inside]

I'm a jack-of-all-trades type of guy interested in getting into product design/usability/human factors. I'm somewhat convinced getting a degree in industrial engineering is a good start. Any other paths to consider before I commit to that? [more inside]
