	<title>Implications in Ignoring IMs</title>
	<link>http://ask.metafilter.com/46871/Implications%2Din%2DIgnoring%2DIMs</link>
	<description>If a friend ignored your instant messages all day when you knew that they were online the entire time, would you consider that rude? I have a co-worker that I&apos;m friendly with and I IMed her several times throughout the day, never receiving any response. Today, she was fairly chatty so I asked about her behavior. She said that she wanted to be left alone yesterday and that I was the only one who didn&apos;t get it.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Am I misguided here in feeling that this ignoring without any explanation was rude?</description>
