That boy needs therapy

What are some of your favorite obscure electronic music singles? I'm looking for the kind of stuff where an otherwise unremarkable or unrecognized artist managed to release one perfect song. I am not interested in one-hit wonders as Wikipedia defines it -- I don't care if the song was ever popular or a club hit, just that it's good and interesting. Songs that creep onto your playlists despite not knowing or liking anything else by the same band are what I'm looking for, perhaps an excellent remix that managed to redeem a weak song. I tend towards artists such as Negativland, Lionrock, Aphex Twin, Prefuse 73, Amon Tobin, Girl Talk, DNTEL, Autechre, Avalanches, Jason Forrest, etc. but am looking for stuff far off the Pandora similarity radar.

Know any Czech electronic musicians?

Spurred on by what happened at Czechtek, I'm trying to find more out about electronic musicians from the Czech Republic. The trouble is, I don't speak Czech.

Does anyone know of any great Czech producers, or of any web translation sites that reliably do Czech to English so I can do more research? I've been looking around for a (free + working) web translator that does Czech to English, but all I can find are bad text translators, so the results are pretty murky and without much context.

What apps does the IDM group use in concerts?

[IDM music filter] If you've ever watched an IDM group perform live, usually all they have is a laptop. What programs do they likely have running live performances? [MI] what VST effects/instruments are they likely to use (what vst effects/instruments are good for live performances). How much is actually sequenced? What exactly does an IDM artist do during a live performance? Most of the time they just seem to be letting the sequencer play back everything and they dont look like they're doing anything (obviously i am wrong, but thats what it looks like).

Help requested for translation of bit of German audio.

Help requested for translation of bit of German audio [mi]. Instead of packing and doing various chores for my little vaction which begins tomorrow, I'm for some stupid, typically obsessive-compulsive reason making a little video and subsequently a 5.1 audio DVD out of an Aphex Twin remix (don't even ask what I've done in making a 5.1 mix). Anyway, it's a remix of "Krieger" by Die Fantastischen Vier, and I found some lyrics here.

Here is the clip that I'd like translated (and verification that I have the correct lyric in German).

From the lyrics, I'm thinking this clip is:
er wacht auf sein traum geht noch weiter als der zauber wirkt er wacht auf
...is that correct? And how does that translate in the context of the rest of the lyrics?

You've got the beat, you've got the beat!

There's a certain kind of very fast but largely unrhythmic IDM beat. I've heard it for example in Aphex Twin - Girl Boy song, and some µ-Ziq. It's a kind of highly cut up, apid, sometimes somewhat tonal skittering drum programming that sounds like it would be unbelievably slow to put together in a sequencer. I get the sense think such a distinct sound is associated with certain equipment or techique, anyone have any ideas?
