Please help me identify this song; it's a funky house track that samples both Ice Cube's "It Was A Good Day" and Three 6 Mafia's "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp."

Ok, some of you are just plain talented with this stuff. My friend swears that this little ditty is from an ACTUAL song, but she has been trying to remember which song exactly for more than a month now... I'd like to ID the song before she does, and taunt her with the knowledge (like any good friend would do) just to watch her squirm!

Song from the Wire, season 1 episode 6.
Here's a Youtube of the scene uploaded by someone else looking for it. It is
not "Respect the Nubians" by Positive Black Soul, that comes after. It's not on the soundtrack disc. There are a lot of
google hits for people looking for it but no one has found it. Do you know it?

Who is the woman sampled speaking on NWA's "Gangsta Gangsta"? She says "hopin' you sophisticated motherfuckers here what I have to say", "he'll fuck up you and yours - and anything that gets in his way", and "he'll just call you a lowlife motherfucker and talk about your funky ways."

This American Life has at least a dozen instrumentals that they use over and over as background music. The Happy Flute Song, the Things Are Kind of Tense Song, and so on. I've really grown to like many of them, but I cannot identify any of them. Can TAL fans identify any of the standard music beds?

Over the past few months, I have occasionally seen a commercial for a vacation cruise. I can't recall the name of the cruise, but Norwegian fiords are featured prominently. What really has my interest is the song featured in the ad. It's a classic example of trying to remember a song, but not being able to, and it's driving me crazy. The tune has an ethereal quality to it, and the singer is female. If anyone has even the vaguest idea of what I'm talking about, please end my suffering, and tell me who sings the damn song!
Please.
