I picked up a blueberry iBook as a freebie from a neighbor. My toddler is more than thrilled - he loves Mom and Dad's laptops and won't leave them alone. The fake toy computer we tried wasn't enough for him, he wanted the real thing. So now that I have it, what can I do with it to make it the best baby computer I can create?

How upgradable is this iBook? A friend has an old iBook G4 he's indicated he'd be willing to let me have pretty cheaply. I use an iMac at home, but could use a nice portable laptop for occasional travel. The iBook as it is seems a little slow and sluggish to me - I'm just wondering, how "upgradable" is this model, for how much money, etc.? (details inside.)

Getting ready to give away/sell my old G3 iBook (White 800 mhz). I've wiped the drive and re-installed OSX from the original install disks. But ... I can't get past the registration screen.

I have a new 12 inch PowerBook with original power adaptor, my girlfriend has a 1 year old iBook with original power adaptor, I also have an old 15 inch 877 MHz "TiBook" PowerBook with an aftermarket power adaptor supposedly built just for that TiBook (at least I was told it would work with that TiBook.) Can we share power adaptors? Or should I only use my new power adaptor with my new PowerBook?

Ever since upgrading to QuickTime 7 and Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger), I've noticed that apparently what I think is the H.264 and H.267 codecs play very choppily on my machine.

My uncle needs a new computer and wants to spend about $1000 on a laptop. I suggested an Apple iBook 12" as it would fit that budget and be less prone to viruses and spyware than his current Windows machine. This machine apparently has slowed down a lot and my guess would be due to a lot of spyware at the very least (he uses IE I think). My questions pertain to software included and needed and ease of use of the computer [MI].
