Best practice advice for overhauling the Information Architecture of a large website. For various reasons, we are looking to drastically overhaul the IA of a large (many 1000s of pages) site, to reflect a change in purpose. I'm interested in practical considerations and best practice ways to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible for users, search engines and wotnot.

Where's the best place for UX/UI/IA/ID people to work in New York City? I'm an interaction designer/user experience person at an agency in NYC looking for something new. Khoi Vinh's essay,
The End of Client Services, has me thinking that it's time to step away from agency life.

This is a bit of a follow up to
this question. I'm contemplating a small comics project staring a fictionalised version of HP Lovecraft (something I've done before but thsi will be slight higher profile) and the title will be something along the lnes of "H.P. Lovecraft's World of Weirdness". Is the use of his name in the title like that, which might imply some kind of authorship or endorsement or somesuch, likely to bring the Lovecraft estate down on me like a ton of bricks?

Isometric Charts in Visio: Though I work on a Mac, I need to produce IA documents and Wireframes that clients can open and dink with in Visio. I'd like to produce an isometric network diagram similar to that seen
here, perhaps using the templates and shapes available
here, but I can't seem to make it all work. Advice?

What is the copyright status of works derived from the Cthulhu Mythos? more specifically, could someone just put out their own book, movie or comic extending the Mythos (and using shared characters) or would they have to get permission and pay someone first?
