I just got a new ipod(classic) today, all the music synced fine and most of my podcasts too. However, i have 18 that won't sync and it keeps saying it can't find them even though they're all right there on itunes as i just downloaded them. I made sure everything was up to date, and even restarted itunes but still nothing.
If it matters i'm using a mac(2007/08?), with itunes 11.0.3, snow leopard.
Is there anyway i can get them to sync?

I was changing my iTunes email address, which is my iTunes I. D. My old email address is going away, necessitating the change. I got to looking in my purchases, and all of them were there, under the new I. D. but there were a handful of songs (6 or 7?) listed as purchased by me that I DID NOT purchase. A bunch of show tunes (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Is there an application that runs on iOS, or that runs on Ubuntu and has an iOS client, that will allow me to manage (as oppose to merely play) my digital music collection? I need to be able to import new files I have ripped, edit tags, and edit file/folder structure from my iPad due to carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have an iPhone5 and an original iPad, which I back up to my PC (running iTunes on Windows XP). However, now when I plug in either device to the PC and start iTunes, all the data is listed as "Other" (in an orange bar across the bottom of the window). Further, when I click "Back Up Now" the sync begins, then stops after a second or two with no error message. Can I recover from this without losing my data?

Long story short- I'm trying to make a go of it with an Acer C7 Chromebook as my main computer. I installed ChrUbuntu, and this is my first foray into the world of Linux. I like it so far, but it does beg the question of what to do with backing-up/restoring my iPhone 4s and iPad (original). Pretty soon I'm going to want to unlock my iPhone so I can switch to a prepaid plan, and I understand you need iTunes for that. Is there a Linux workaround that anyone knows about?

I love listening to audiobooks as I fall asleep. I hate skipping around trying to find my place the next day. Is there a way to tell itunes to stop playing after X minutes (probably 20 or 30), so that it doesn't keep on keeping on long after I've conked out? The books are all on my computer in audiobook form (not as music, which I know itunes sometimes does), so I can't separate tracks into sleep-friendly playlists.

So, I definitely want to convert all my high bit rate mp3 songs in iTunes to a lower bitrate of 190. I have the bit rate setting changed in iTunes, and I know when I right click and choose "make mp3 copy" it does exactly that. BUT, I don't want the original around anymore in iTunes and don't want to manually go through and delete them or go into the folder to do that. The threads I have looked at tell me how to do the first but don't address the issue that I still have the higher bit-rate copy in iTunes. I have a lot of music, I don't want the higher copies cluttering it. (I have a backup of the originals anyway). Is there something I am missing so it just lowers bitrate but doesn't make it a copy?

I have an album by The Cult called "Electric" that was in Unknown folder in iTunes. I moved it to the proper music group folder in iTunes "The Cult" where all their other albums are. BUT when I open iTunes, it won't show up with the search of The Cult or under their name. I can find particular tracks in iTunes, go an hit Play and it then asks for me to locate that song. There are other screw things going on (like some albums thrown into compilations, but I can probably fix that) but this is the most frustrating. Any ideas? Do I have to go buy Tune Up or some other application? (I am running the newest iTunes on an iMac w/ Snow Leopard)

Is there any way to make the new iTunes tighter and more minimalist? For example, I want my podcast and artist lists to be like the small-font, compact lists they used to be. Similar to the column browser, but on the side, NOT the top (which is all kinds of stupid up there). Basically, I want to see as many artists as possible with as little scrolling as possible. Any add-on or script or setting I'm overlooking that could take care of this, and perhaps other inefficiencies of the new iTunes?

iTunes Filter. 1. Why would the information for a song (e.g. artist name, song name) be displayed properly in iTunes but in Media Monkey/SAM the artist name is missing and the song name is listed with a number in front of it? 2. Also in Media Monkey/SAM, there are many duplicates of songs that aren't duplicated in iTunes (and these will have the artist name and the song name listed properly). Please note that this is not the case with all my songs (over 21,000), but enough of them (maybe 2,000--3,000) that it does pose a problem when I'm DJing or organising my music. Plus, y'know, I have a tidy mind and this is bugging me.

I have a rather specific question regarding iTunes and android. I'm looking for an app that will locally save, on my android phone, the data of what is in my itunes library in a browsable way, WITHOUT actually having to put the music itself on my phone. I'm imagining an app that could, say, parse my iTunes library file and let me save & browse it on my phone. (The reason I want something like this is because I use Amazon's cloud drive to store my music, and it's a great service, but the Amazon mp3 app is not very good for browsing my music collection. For example, I can't search by genre or composer there. Moving to another cloud provider, eg Google Play or iTunes match, won't work because they don't provide sufficient space.)
