I'm currently running my Ipod classic on a windows xp desktop and (due to space problems) using my Ipod as a external hard drive.
I.E, adding music to Itunes, manually adding it to my Ipod and then deleting it from Itunes. However, I'm going to buy a new (vista) laptop and wondered how can I retrieve all the music off my Ipod and sync it with my new laptop.
Also, any idea how I can move all the Photos from my Ipod (which I have saved as full resolution pictures) to my laptop??
Any help or advice greatfully recieved.

I sync my nano with iTunes. I play a few podcasts on my iPod, plug it in to my computer, but iTunes doesn't notice they've been played, and resets all my podcasts. But only sometimes! Infuriating! [more inside]

I rate my music on my ipod as I listen through it, and I'm trying to get several thousand ratings from the ipod back into itunes. It doesn't seem like itunes can do this for me. (That's stupid!) I found this script, which also has failed to work for me. Need help using the script, or itunes, or finding another alternative. [more inside]

Sigh. iPod problems and I can't figure them out. They key obstacle is "Sync failed: unknown error (-124)", followed by "iPod cannot be synced: required folder cannot be found".
