Obviously lots of web resources to help novices make this move... Are there any guides people found really well done to help a real technophobe?
I have an IPhone 4s. I routinely need to dictate myself messages that I can send vie email from my phone to myself using Siri. Is there any way to set things up so I can do that with very few clicks? Right now I push home to open Siri, ask to send mail, enter my mail address, Dictate the message and hit send. Can it be done more easily? Thanks
I am researching travel in advance of a trip. I like to have the material available both online and if I lose access to the internet. It will be mainly accessed using an iphone. Mostly organizing maps, reviews from yelp, Urban spoon, and some emails. Any advice on good ways to do this? THanks!
would like to stream my itunes music content from my jailbroken 3g to my stereo via airport express. Is this possible? any Cydia apps? I dont want to route via remote through my iMac. Thanks!
My wife would like to use our off contract Iphone 3g to use VERY infrequently (less than 20 minutes/mo?) with no data plan needed. Any suggestions about how BEST to do this on the cheap? In Hawaii if that matters. Prepaid?
my iphone 3 ATT plan is up soon. Basically like the phone for the ipod functionality esp podcasts, the phone itself and the mail set up syncs well with my google accounts, but att network slow and expensive what are my best options to look at now?
requesting advice on traveling with my iphone: will be in areas with good internet connections but no wifi (hotels, friends homes etc) and I will not be wanting to use foreign ATT account. What is the easiest, most portable and cheapest set up that I can carry with me to give me wifi access after i pull my sim?
Can someone walk me through the presumably simple task of setting up my Imac and airport express so that it is secure. I basically want to be able to do 2 things: 1) listen to my itunes through my stereo system 2) use my iphone in Wi fi mode so i can skype etc do both as securely as possible , and simultaneously? I am running a Imac with OSX 10.5.8 connected to a cable modem. Apples instructions leave me confused. So i really need step by step instructions if that isnt too much hassle for someone... THanks!
Cant easily sync itunes and Iphone. Running latest versions of both software. I can sync everything else but only way to sync music seems to be I had to check all of the songs in my core iTunes music folder as if i was selecting them to be played. When I synched my music from there it worked fine. Bug I think but this seemed to work. Any suggestions? Who writes itunes software anyway: really non-intuitive
I will be traveling to Japan for 2 weeks Want to use my iphone mostly for non-cell usages: mail, maps, etc. 2 questions: are prepaid sim cards available for iphone if i jail break it in Japan and how common are free wi-fi spots in Tokyo if i want to go airplane mode to avoid ALL data charges?
Can someone walk me through how to best set up my imac and iphone so that my syncs work more smoothly? I would like to sync just weekly and 1) pull over photos from the phone into iphoto 2) pull over new podcasts that i like and get rid of the old ones (this is my biggest problem right now, it seems like i keep getting the old ones reloaded and sometimes the new ones dont show at all) 3) pull over address changes bi-directionally I would like to do this in as idiot proof a fashion as possible: plug and play thanks!
Any easier way to clean contacts on iphone up than one at a time on the phone: since i imported from my imac, my old phone's card and my outlook pc i have a real mess and cleaning it up without cut and paste is a nightmare...also, can i eliminate tow way sync if i were to clean up contacts folder on my imac and make that my standard and not screw it up again with a sync?
I bought an Iphone through ATT dec 9th. Found out today i will be in Japan this year starting this spring for one year ATT Contract states:"simply return it either to a store or by mail within 30 days from the date the equipment." I assumed that that meant 30 full days of use (hence return today would be OK, but they insist that it meant 30 calendar days irregardless of what time the phone was picked up or activated, and so they denied my return. Any thoughts on my options? Should the contract not be more clear on precise what 30 days means?
New Iphone user (3 days!)with a couple of "easy" questions: 1) How can i best access my google bookmarks: they are not loading on my igoogle home page. or should i dump them for something else? 2) when is wifi better bet than 3G? 3) what are some tips to minimize monthly minute use? I LOVE this phone. cant beleive how good some of the apps are for free, how easy and intuitive it is. Sure somethings need fixing, but overall great phone
