Decent iPad/iPod cables? iPad and iPod usb cables infuriate me. The cables invariably fray at the connector junction, and the cable coating on several has simply disintegrated. Is there anywhere I can get solid iStuff cables that won't need replaced every 3 months? Preferably with some sort of reinforcement at the connector junctions? An Amazon search just gives me miles of what I presume is junk.

I have 300gb of music, a house, several Mac laptops, a Mac G5, a router, two iphones, an ipad, and several external HDs where the music is stored. I would like to be able to play music anywhere in my house, control it wirelessly without the laptops and update libraries as well as all my devices with whatever I like anywhere in the house, without having to drag out the external USB HD to plug into various laptops like I do now. Does anybody know of any resources, be they online or otherwise, for teaching the basics - the very basics - of iPad use to a computerphobic person? Things like "what does the home button do?", "what is the internet?", "what is a web browser?", "what is an app?".
More details below, but basically I am at the end of my tether with trying to provide technical support to someone with zero computer awareness or willingness to learn and I need to find some way of educating them to the point where they can at least recognize when something is a problem and when it isn't.

Best solution for recording phone interviews. Here's my equipment: iPhone, MacBook, iPad. I'm a blogger, and I've been recording my interviews into a recording app on my iPad, or into garageband on my mac, using my iPhone on speakerphone. I'd prefer to not use speakerphone, as it cuts out and sounds like a walkie-talkie. I have an important interview coming up, and I'd like to up my game audio fidelity-wise without buying any other gear. What's my best solution?
