Well it happened. I'm officially bored with all my ipad/iphone games. The App store has exploded recently and I'm pretty binary on the things I like, plus I've got to share the device with another game-lover with different tastes . What are the best, new iPad/iPhone games? [more inside]

Looking for a tablet-like media device that plays ripped DVDs, and easily saves and views PDFs and Word docs to take with me travelling. Fitting in a small carry bag would be great as well.
Difficulty: Not an iPad. [more inside]

What connection kit and software do you recommend for amp modeling and recording guitar on iOS? I'd like to plug the guitar into the connector, pick an amp, record stuff, then get the audio files either off the device or into other apps for mixing.

I'm looking for a "flipping page" online catalog viewer for print catalogs. Hoping to find something that will work for iPad, iPhone and Android. Ideally I'd like something self-hosted, but that is not a deal breaker. The ability to add image map-like links to URLs is needed. The source file is a PDF built in InDesign.

My best friend got the new iPhone 4 in early August, but never synced it. When she finally synced her phone last week, she mistakenly told iTunes to Restore from back-up (the July back-up). Is there anyway to get her data back? [more inside]

iPad 3G cellular vs. wi-fi -- which takes precedence if both are active? If I have 3G cellular turned on, while sitting at home with my home wireless, does it use the faster home wireless? Or does the 3G just clobber everything and gleefully rack up data charges? I've been turning it on and off as needed, but that's just annoying, so I'd like to get the question settled once and for all.

I am in a WIFI-less internet environment at the moment and would like to connect using my Ipad. I am ablt to connect to the internet with my Macbook pro using ethernet.
Is there a way I can create a network using my airport and then connect via Ipad through the network.
Is there a VERY simple way to do this. I am not very knowlegable about networks

eBay (UK) is currently offering the original iPads starting at around £270 (for 16Gb wifi only). The new iPad2 will be £399 for the same 16Gb wifi model. The question is, given that it's not for a gadget-freak, is paying an extra 50% worth it? [more inside]

iPad 2 purchase in London: the iPad 2 is coming out here on Friday 25 March. I would like to get one before I leave London the following week. Can you offer me any advice on the best plan to get hold of one (also, it's for Mrs HopStop and thus, must be white which will probably make it a wee bit harder). [more inside]

iPad owners: I'm considering getting an iPad 2. I currently own an iPhone 4, though, and I'm worried that using it is going to be like using an iPhone 3G—the screens on those, which once seemed fine to me, now seem ridiculously grainy. Yes, I know I'm spoiled. But will this mess with my enjoyment of the device? Or is stuff/text generally larger on iPad apps, such that it won't be as noticeable?

Say I have an iPad. I decide not to get AppleCare, but I do get an extended warranty using my AMEX card. If my iPad has a problem at the 13 month mark (aka 1 month after the factory warranty expires) and needs to be replaced (which the Apple Store often will do for you), how do I invoke the AMEX card extended warranty so I don't have to pay for the refurbished replacement? I am trying to figure out which iPad 2 to buy. Some have 3G already inside them; some don't, having wifi only. I live in an area that doesn't have 4G coverage but I imagine will someday soon. It would be nice to be able to upgrade to 4G when it's available. What are my best options? [more inside]

With the invention of eReaders and iPads I thought I would come across more fictional books online that are more interactive. The latest example of this that I read was Corey Doctorow's free PDF of Little Brother, which I loved becuase it hyperlinked to maps, destinations and really brought the neighborhoods and events to life. It also was great for reading at work, since I was viewing a PDF. I also saw this type of merging of fiction and references with our own Mefite Dobbs, who back in the day had a amazing email communication called Victory Shag, which were these weekly emails he would send that were about "his" fictional love life that often times had musical tracks and maps and neighborhood references embedded in the interactions. There must be more options out there. I don't own a eReader or an iPad, but just thought that that I would come across more talented writers that use more interactive oppurtunities. I might be out of the loop though, so suggestions would be much appreciated.

Are there ways to do my text message correspondence from my Mac and my iPad? I would greatly prefer a solution that does not require me to switch phone numbers or send from different phone numbers/addresses on different devices, I don't want my recipients to have to know different addresses/numbers for texting me. Ideally I would like my texting to be like my IMAP email, the same no matter what device I check it from.

I want to create something similar to the Martha Stewart iPad application. It's a little more interactive than a straight e-book. It has similarities to other applications (wired, etc)... Enough similarities that I thought there must be a tool that would let you create something without having to create and code something unique each time. [more inside]

I have a tangle of USB chargers at my nightstand for the devices there: a Kindle, an iPad, an iPhone and a Nintendo DS. All of them charge over USB. I want some thing that is nicer looking that uses just one power plug and comes out into 4 or more USB jacks. These exist, and I've tried a few, and none of them have worked with the Kindle or with the iPad (but are fine with the DS and iPhone.) Is there a multi-USB power charger that for sure works with Kindles and iPads?
