I am tracking what I eat by type of food and I am looking for an app to help me track it. For example, I want to eat 7 veg servings, 3 protein, 4 whole grains, etc. is there an app where I can enter the category and number that I want to eat per day and then as I eat them I can check them off? I can think of other uses, too, like tracking pills and vitamins or even household chores.

As long as I've had an iPhone I've used the default email app, Mail, linked to my primary gmail address, along with my secondary gmail address that forwards to my primary mailbox.
After upgrading my iPhone 5 to the 6, I've lost the ability to use an Exchange account for gmail so that new mail pushes to the Mail app. See here

I recently installed IOS 8 on my iPhone. Unlike some, I had no trouble with the download per se. However, none of the new features seem to be present; and while it says on the software update page that it has been downloaded, the little 'number 1' is still showing up on the settings page. FWIW, the iCloud backup button (with the option to turn it on or off) seems 'frozen' as well. Might anyone have any ideas?

I have a large email account and would like to sync email to my iPhone - but only the emails going back one year. IOS 7.1.2 will allow one month and then "no limit". Nothing in between.
I have even tried the Outlook app on the iPhone - kind of works, but search only goes back 6 months.
Any ideas anyone?

I used to use and love an iOS app called GroupShot that helped you magically combine the good parts of multiple photos into one to help fix issues like when people don't smile or accidentally blink or when they aren't all looking at the camera at the same time. The app no longer works right and I can't find any others like it! Anyone know of any other apps out there that do that? [more inside]

I'm looking for an equivalent to the You Are Your Own Gym body weight exercises app. I've been using the app for a couple of months now and I really like it - the exercises are explained in good detail and there is a good progression from very easy to challenging. There seem to be loads of apps available but I'm not sure which ones are any good. Which have you found useful?

I've recently created an iPhone app that's not a game, but falls more in the "Entertainment" category (it uses Twitter to predict the future). And I'm not sure where I should try to send it for review/exposure, as most review sites are game-oriented. I've tried the usual suspects (MeFi Projects, submitted to BoingBoing, shared on FB and Twitter), but am surprised at how quickly I'm running out of ideas for places to send this guy to. Some really horrible stuff was going down at work. I took absolutely no part in it, and even acknowledged that it may not be legal. I did this all over email, and even received responses back acknowledging this. I was explicitly threatened that if i wasn’t going to be a part of it, then i was to “forget about it or lose your job”.
So recently, they all got busted. And like a bunch of cowards, they all blamed it on me. And because I’m the low girl on the totem pole, it looks like I might have been the one doing all this stuff (without ANY proof). But I have proof! [more inside]

I'm not a power Twitter user, but it's the only tool I'll have to communicate with a 1000 people at a big party next weekend
Right now I have more than 200 followers to classify into five or six lists. The web interface for this is dead slow. Is there a tool which provides bulk list management? If one iOS app could do all this, hooray! However, list management is a relatively rare activity, and I'd be thrilled to learn about a suitable Twitter client as well as a utility to enable list creation. Yes, there's a drift of snowflakes within. [more inside]

We're going to have some folks filling out the same simple form on a regular basis. Is there an app-based solution where they can enter the data and upload it securely to a central repository at the end of the day?
A web solution may have been easier, but we're worried connectivity might be an issue during parts of the day. We want users to tap an app and be able to fill out a bunch of forms, then upload them all (securely) at the end of the day. A simple, elegant, fast interface would be a real plus. [more inside]

Looking for an iOS app that will let me set up a table (of dice scores and results), then roll on that table by pushing a button. For example, I might set up a table 'FOO': 1-2 = A, 3-4 = B, 5-6 = C. I could then push the FOO button, and it'd roll a d6 and give me A, B or C. Does this sort of thing exist?

After a complicated chain of circumstances involving a SIM migration, a grandfathered prepaid data plan that transferred from an iPhone 3G to a 4 to the current 5S, and many hours (no exaggeration) at the AT&T store while their employees talked to level 2 tech support, I was left with:
- A working iPhone 5S on AT&T, now getting LTE data but restored to factory settings.
- A recent encrypted backup from the phone, just before the wipe.
It is not
an option to restore the entire phone from the backup. Help me restore just the user data for selected apps. [more inside]

I’m interested in the DURR
, a simple display-less “watch” that vibrates every 5 minutes to influence your perception of the passing of time. Since DURR is not currently shipping and I already own an iPhone with a clock and a vibrating buzzer, I feel like this should be doable with an app. There’s already a Pebble app
so I’m sure it’s not crazy.
If this doesn’t currently exist, how hard might it be to write one myself? I’ve compiled things in XCode before but not written my own from-scratch Objective-C, so I’d be approaching this as a newcomer.

I want one phone number to use for talk and text, and I want to be able to send and receive texts on my iPhone or from my Mac without using a browser or a second phone number. Currently, Google Voice does this, but it looks like Google is merging Google Voice into Hangouts this spring, and 3rd party apps will no longer work. GAH! I love being able to send and receive texts for my real number on my Mac (I use GrowlVoice). I'm currently on AT&T for my iPhone, but I'm more than willing to switch to another carrier. What are my options?

Background: I work for a (small) company and was put in charge of helping manage the creation of a smartphone app, related to our business (both clients and non-clients would find it relevant) and geared at business professionals in the US. I was given this task due to capacity and not skill, so it's been a learning curve. An outside developer was brought in to actually create the app (for both iOS and Android). Both versions are functionally identical (with identical text in the respective stores) and sell for the same price ($1.99, if that's relevant).
It's now been a few months since the apps went live in their respective stores. Our PR firm has been helping promote the app to generate sales/spread the word. As it turns out, the iOS version is outselling the Android version by a factor of 12 to 1. Given that Android appears to have a much larger market share than Apple, this seems a little odd.
I'm looking for input from those who have sold apps in both stores to see if this is akin to their experience or any resources that might help explain why this is. I've done some searching on my own (both here in the green and on the web) but haven't found anything concrete.
