I know this question is big, but would like to glean any useful information for job hunting.
I will graduate from my post-graduate study in five months. The time is not abundant for job hunting for a foreigner without citizenship. My study area is agricultural engineering and bio-environmental/bioenergy engineering.
Do you know if there is any company that may have positions based on this background? Do you know if there is any suitable website holding ads for this engineering area? Will you be willing to share your experience in job hunting of similar background?
Thanks in advance.

With all the rain we have had lately, there are a lot of mushrooms growing in the woods. I started reading about mushroom hunting and some mycologists claim that Chicken Mushrooms are reasonably safe to pick & eat. I recalled that there was an oak tree nearby that had been felled by Hurricane Irene, so I walk out to it and look. Sure enough, what I am fairly certain is a
Laetiporus Sulphureus growing from the snapped trunk.

Please help a new grad move to San Francisco. I will probably arrive on June 1 and start working June 10, and I have $1500 for the whole move in process. Where do I stay while I'm apartment hunting? A hotel is very expensive and a hostel is pretty cramped. I could probably stay on a friend's couch but are there any other reasonable options for 1 month stays?

How do I find a high-quality hunting trip operator or arranger, for California (preferably in southern California)? I was asked to arrange one for a bachelor party, but haven't the foggiest idea how to find a reputable guide or organizer. I've asked around and googled but with no success. We're looking for a hunt involving a larger animal, but could go smaller or with water fowl depending on the budget. I know there are many who find hunting objectionable (and I'm not exactly a fan, either), but this would mean a lot for the bachelor, and I'd love to make this happen for him. Thanks!

Can you help me remember this barely remembered cartoon from my childhood? A community of alien looking people live on a floating island and go out in flying boats to catch flying whales. Every so often one of them would turn blue and die, and they would throw him down a well. The well was actually a hole passing through the island and as the body fell it would turn into a new sky whale. Any ideas?

A friend of mine is soon to start his dream job working for the metro system in Monterey, but is having trouble finding an apartment. He's tried craigslist and the various national apartment finder sites, to no avail. What other resources can you recommend for leads? He'll need a place that allows cats and that is close to the metro lines, but other than that, he's open to pretty much anything.

Growing up in West Virginia, which is a state where almost everyone hunts deer, I was constantly told that hunting was in the deers best interest. The rationale being that if the hunters didn't kill some of them off, there wouldn't be enough food to support the entire population, causing many of them to die off over the winter.
Looking around the internet, I haven't found anything that supports this idea. So i'm wondering if there is any truth to this, or if perhaps it is just something people made up to justify their animal killing hobby.
