How can I prove residency without a lease or utilities?

After already attending CUNY Hunter college as a nyc resident, they took away my residency until I can prove it to them again. However, I don't have a lease, didn't get a drivers license until 6 months ago, and have no other proof that I've lived here other than attending school here for the past 3 semesters.
(Please somebody help me) I moved to NYC in september of 2007 from New Jersey after graduating highschool in June. I started attending Kingsborough, paying out of state tuition since you need to live here a year before you are a resident. My apartment is a month to month that we pay in cash, there is no lease. I have had a enough one time jobs, but no employment records. All the utilities are included in our rent. Because it is NYC, I didnt bother getting a NYs drivers license until the next august (which I obviously realize now was a mistake.) Finally we were having a problem with the post, not receiving any mail until mid february, so I don't have any mail that is dated before the first day of class (Jan 26th)

Because I was accepted to Hunter as a NYC resident, I filled up my schedule and paid the $2000 and everything was great, until the the other day I received an e-mail saying I had to prove my residency again. As I already said I don't really have any proof, and I just don't know what to do. I can't afford the out of state tuition, and if I knew it was going to be this expensive I wouldn't have taken so many classes.

AND the school wants my parents tax information for 2007, where I was still in highschool, so they claimed me as a dependant for that year, even though I moved out in september. Why does the school need their 2007 taxes and not 2008? I could have moved in 2008 and still have lived in NYC for a year prior to this semester.

Can Hunter kick me out if I can't pay the out of state tuition? Is there anyway other than the residency form to prove that I've lived here for 17 months?

Testing a Hunter attic fan controller?

How do I test a Hunter attic fan controller? I want to be thorough before I climb in the attic. My mom's old (1980 ish) attic fan won't go at any speed beyond low. I pulled the controller, put in a regular light switch, and it still ran at the same low speed. I told her it was probably the motor (pain in the ass - tiny attic in a 1.5-story house), but she asked if I could test the controller itself. Not thinking much, I agreed to do so.

I got it home, and figured, hey just test the resistance at various settings on the knob. I get no resistance whatsoever across the terminals no matter what setting I put the knob to. Then I recalled, hey, the cover plate said "solid state" which means, well, if there's one thing I can't wax lengthy about, it's electricity. I suppose to test it I'd have to have 110V across the terminals, and a load (i.e. the fan motor) on the neutral leg of the controller? I'm not sure how to set this up in a test situation, without effing up my own house electric, and I'm not sure how the hell the fan changes speed.

The Hunter web site doesn't even list attic fans. I guess they aren't cool any more.

It's the hunting stories with noise album, of course

My friend had an album - mainly spoken word pieces with electronic noise. It was a story about a man who went out hunting with his friends, who laughed at him. Help my friend find it, please. In one of the later variations, the hunter killed and ate his friends. The album was Canadian perhaps, late 60s.

Life after high school? How to decide?
My son who is a senior in high school is trying to decide what to do next year. Here's what he knows: he's gay, he wants to live in NYC, and he wants to be a math teacher when he grows up. For now though he doesn't have an idea of what grade level he's interested in teaching.

He has two choices, each of which presents an opportunity to dive right in:

The first is CityYear. This is a year of paid work with elementary school kids in NYC schools, after which he'd go on to college to pursue his career.

Another possibility is enrolling in The Teacher Academy at Hunter College. This looks to be a pretty rigorous but satisfying program, focused on preparing middle & high school math & science teachers.

Anyone out there have any experience with these programs? Help my son make a decision!

How does one get on a headhunter list?

How do I get on a headhunter list? I am an executive in a major call center environment and I'm looking for something new. I would like to move on to something where I am responsible for the entire operation.

How does one get on a headhunter list?
Would one want to get on a headhunter list?

Help me choose which low rent NYC university to attend

I'm a twenty-one year old drop out who's looking to go back to school to get my English degree. My grades, while decent, weren't spectacular, and I can't afford NYU or New School. It's probably going to be CUNY (Hunter or Baruch) or Pace, both being fairly reasonably priced (especially, in CUNY's case, if you're a resident of NYC). BUT... ...Neither school seems to have a particular advantage over the other when it comes to my major, and before I spend the money on Pace's application fee, I'm wondering if its reputation makes it worth the bother. It's one of those schools where it seems like everyone knows the name, but no one knows anything about it.

So basically I'm wondering what school should be my first choice, what's Pace's reputation when it comes to their English program, and most importantly, which school will look better on a resume.

If anyone has any other suggestions for good liberal arts schools that have low standards for admission, I'd like to hear them. Thanks!

A short question about love (and hate).

Did the movie NIGHT OF THE HUNTER (discussed here) originate the device of having HATE tattooed on one hand, with LOVE tattooed on the other? Was this a common prison practice, something in the zeitgeist that NIGHT IN THE HUNTER (and the other films) referenced, or were the tattoos specifically designed to comment on Mitchell's deranged preacher? (He honestly doesn't have a whole lot to do with love, even with his explanation of the tattoo in the context of the film, hence my confusion.)
